Brilliant!

Just like the singles title, Ryuusei delivers nothing short of a spectacularly powerful musical experience just with the a-side alone. As versatile as ever, Mucc effectively incorporate music akin to reggae beats with Tatsurous poignant vocals, Miyas flawless guitar, Yukkes funky bass and Satochis energetic drumming. Bokura no Kage would fit better on older releases such as Zekuu or Homura Uta with its raw, hard guitar riffs. Not one of Muccs best songs but is enjoyable nonetheless. Finally, the experience ends with a remake of Daikirai, their incorrigible hate anthem. Truthfully, it is not very different from the original except with a seemingly speedier, more defined melody. Mucc is not afraid of evolving and experimenting with different sounds as they mature as musicians. And while the b-sides do not make new grounds, it would be difficult for any song to compare to the incredibly original and poetic nature of Ryuusei. The only negative aspect of this release is that the title track fades off at the end and seems incomplete unlike the album version and the PV. |

Hi, I just thought I would point out, that Yesasia is most certainly correct about Mucc being a Visual band, because Nikki, if you knew anything about Mucc you would know that they are in fact a Visual Band, it just depends on what album you buy, or what DVD you buy. Go watch Ware, arubeki basho, roji ura boku to kimi e, or Zetsubou. Know what your talking about before you talk about it. No one likes a stuck up j-rock fan. mata ne :D |

*cough* Just thought I'd point out that MUCC is most certainly NOT a visual band. :/ And I guess I'm going to have to make this longer and such for it to actually be accepted. But maybe I should stop correcting YesAsia all the time (this is the third time in two months). YesAsia needs to really improve with their product descriptions because they're full of errors so often now. |
