Hekiru rocks on

Long time 417 fans may remember the days when Hekiru's popularity was more in the mainstream and her fan base was a larger size. Sadly, not as many people call themselves her fans today. Sad for them. Over the years Hekiru's musical style has evolved and grown. Her musical range today is probably superior to what it was a few years ago and this album is a good example of she can do. Some may hesitate to call it rock, but there is a lot more rock influence in these songs compared to her older work. If you happen to like this album, then you should definelty go for the concert DVD of Around the Sadistic when it comes out. The energy she puts into her live performances is amazing. The crowd's excitement feeds her and she gives the energy right back. If I had to choose, I'd say my favorite tracks on this disc are 7, 8, and 9. |
