Sally Yeh - Now's My Prime Concert is fabulous. I've been listening to them since I bought the disk. It brigten my day just by listening to them. But the disappointment I'm facing is I do not write chinese but I understand them. It would be brilliant if there is a translation so that we could enjoy and also sing with her. Would'nt it be great to have someone not knowing Chinese but would be able to sing along. Regards Cath Hills |

Disappointed Performance

I bought this cd after seeing all the good reviews and I am really disappointed. I wonder what kind of fans has she got. Her singing now lost so much compared 10 to 15 years ago. She sound so unstable and those cover songs are so bad. I wonder if those who said it is good ever heard of the originals. The trick of singing other singers' popular hits worked here. At least it tricked me into buying it. |

This concert was a major landmark in Sally Yeh's prolific career and she did not disappoint with this show. The Canto pop diva celebrated her 25 years in the music industry with her Now's My Prime concert over 4 nights at Hong Kong's Coliseum singing her heart out to a packed audience night after night. The whole show was thorough entertainment from start to finish - 3 hrs approx and Sally proved that she is still at the top of her profession after all these years. The youthful 42 year old can certainly give her younger peers a serious lesson in good music and singing as she sang classics such as Cha Cha Cha, 200 Degrees and the more recent smash hits like Seung Sai as well as several tracks from her most recent Mandarin album Inside out. Her fitness and agility were as stunning as her costumes, and not forgetting her most important asset - her voice! Her guest singers such as Alan Tam, Joey Yung, Eason Chan and Sally's husband George Lam sang with her during certain songs and was great to see them all. Also with a concert what is also needed are good musicians, and these guys were excellent! It was worth every penny for me going to Hong Kong from the UK to see the show and have a front row seat for this amazing and unique event. Congratulations Sally on your 25 years! Here's to the next 25. Thanks so much. |

Sally enthralled her audiences with her powerful and crystal clear voice. Besides audio entertainment, my eyes were treated to an array of beautiful dance moves which would reduce her contemporaries (including the males) and the new comers to eat a humble pie. Throughout the concert, Sally was simply having fun and kept a two-way communication with her audiences. Achieving the status of Diva-dom, she does not have to try hard to command attention or remind them why she is still a very much respected singer after all these years. Her deliverance of the songs that made her famous from the past 25 years is an indication that her hard work previously had paid off handsomely. That is why now, she seems to be taking life lightly with husband-crooner-actor George Lam. The remixed of her past hits with the music of today (Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Britney & Madonna and even Las Ketchup!) showed that Sally is ever adaptive musically. And her dance moves are not simple! Her duet with the guest singers George Lam, Eason Chan and Alan Tam were fun-loving and entertaining. Sadly, the compilation did not include other guest singers such as Jacky Cheung and Lisa Wang. This concert VCD is a must buy for those who appreciate good, quality voice and entertaining moves. |

Sally Yeh! You're still the ONE!
| After a long wait, finally the concert CD released and got it in my hand. It recalls so much of memories for the concert in HKG. As this is the live concert CD, we cant excpet Sally's voice is as superb as in the studio but she has shown all her best and powerful vocal here. The song selection is really GREAT for this concert especially in the 1st medley. Really love it so much. Just hope that DVD will be out soon and we can watch the cconcert once again! Sally! Well Done! |
