Sally Yeh - Now's Her Prime!
| This concert was a major landmark in Sally Yeh's prolific career and she did not disappoint with this show. The Canto pop diva celebrated her 25 years in the music industry with her Now's My Prime concert over 4 nights at Hong Kong's Collesium singing her heart out to a packed audience night after night. The whole show was thorough entertainment from start to finish - 3 hrs approx and Sally proved that she is still at the top of her profession after all these years. The youthful 42 year old can certainly give her younger peers a serious lesson in good music and singing as she sang classics such as Cha Cha Cha, 200 Degrees and the more recent smash hits like Seung Sai as well as several tracks from her most recent Mandarin album Inside out. Her fitness and agility were as stunning as her costumes, and not forgetting her most important asset - her voice! The power filled the arena and the audiencies watched and listened in awe. Her guest singers were great to see such as Alan Tam and Sally's husband George Lam sang duets with her which were also a great treat for everyone to see. Also with a concert what is also needed is good musicians, and these guys were excellent! For me being a westerner, and also having the priviledge to get a front row seat for this show, I can say in all honesty that this was the best concert I have ever seen and worth every penny getting from the UK to Hong Kong and I will never forget this show. Congratulations Sally on your 25 years! Here's to the next 25. Thanks so much. |
