The loves and lives of a group of modern women are the focus of Salon Beauty, an urban romantic comedy starring a quartet of comely Hong Kong actresses. Ellen Chan stars as Ruby, who runs a beauty salon frequented by close friends Eva (Iris Tsat) and Yan (Katherine Hung). All three of the women have something for hairstylist Mark (Benny Chan), who once dated Yan and still has a thing for her. Eva wishes Mark would just forget about Yan, and has frequent fantasies of him ravishing her in the salon. Meanwhile, Ruby finds her love life unfulfilling, and her eye wanders to Mark as well. Rounding out the ladies is Moon (Sherming Yiu), a lovely lesbian who might be looking for a change. As the days pass and the women move in and around the beauty salon, some find their desires arriving while others find them slowly changing. Full of funny observations and sexy situations, Salon Beauty is a welcome return to the screen for Ellen Chan, who last appeared in the 1995 film Eternal Evil of Asia.
