There are plenty of Japanese dramas about dedicated teachers reforming delinquent students, but it's the other way around in the 2008 NTV drama Scrap Teacher! After starring together in the drama special Sensei wa Erai!, Hey! Say! Jump members Yamada Ryosuke, Nakajima Yuto, Chinen Yuri, and Arioka Daiki team up onscreen again for this uncommon school drama. The four teen idols play strong-minded students attending a failing junior high where the teachers just don't care. With only one year left before the school closes for good, the four friends set out to whip their apathetic teachers back into shape, starting with their disillusioned homeroom teacher played by popular artist Kamiji Yusuke (Celeb to Binbo Taro) of Shuuchishin. Scrap Teacher also co-stars Mukai Osamu (Honey and Clover, Meichan no Shitsuji), Kato Ai (Umizaru), and Yashima Norito (Hero) as teachers.
This release comes with a booklet and special features.
