Strange Combo but somehow, it works...
|
I've been a long time Glay fan since their Hai to Daimyondo days and this is the first time I've heard about Exile. Being a j-rocker, obviously I'm oblivious to other things out there. When I found out about this collaboration, I thought, "Glay is DEFINETELY losing their rock n' roll touch. I mean, look at White Road for goodness' sake!" But, being the devoted fan that I am, I gave this single a shot. I have to admit, the tune is very catchy and Jiro's bass goes really well with the scratchboard. The guitar solos however are very simple and direct with effects, unlike their older stuff but what can you do. This is one of those songs that WILL get stuck in your head! |

Real good
| When I first heard of this, I didn't know what to think. I never expect Glay to actually do a collaboration work with a dancing group. But I'm glay it came out really good. Takuro's composition, as usual, doesn't disappoint, and Glay doesn't fail in proving that they don't care about what some people might think of their decisions. |

Scream for this collaboration!
| An interesting collaboration team here, GLAY and EXILE, two huge acts in Japan working together to produce this single, "SCREAM". I'm more of a fan of EXILE than GLAY, so I think that this single screams EXILE-song more than GLAY-song. The vocals on this track is great, and the guitar solos are just awesome to listen to. The PV is totally awesome too, except that I don't get the whole thing with the bugs. The dancers of EXILE are awesome, as always, and the PV, although a bit cheesy, is definitely worth watching (I think it's 7-8min, and the song itself is 4, so... you can tell there's extra stuff in it). This song is pretty funky, so if you ever feel like getting groovy, this is the beat to listen to! =D |

And to think...
| That I doubted Exile for a second. I shall admit, I had questions when I first heard about the collaboration work, I thought to myself, "Hm, is Hiro losing his genious?" But I should never have doubted him. This work is awesome. I'll never question your decisions again, Hiro, never again. |

Shokku!
| I knew Glay could do it all! They are the best J-rock band ever and they proved it by even making this questionable pairing something great! I was a little skeptical about Exile (I'm not a fan), but the song turned out pretty nice! Go Glay!!! |

Exciting!
| This fusion and mix of sounds and beats are excellent! Who would have thought, GLAY and EXILE?? But, once I heard and watched the video, I loved it. It's very upbeat and catchy. 2 of some of my favorite artists getting together. I was pleasently surprised at how interestingly their sounds mixed so well. |

This song is plain HORRIBLE! Glay is a horrible band, making Exile look bad. If you want something more worth is, buy L'Arc~en~Ciel single 'LINK' which is going to be used for Full Metal Alchemist the movie. |
