十七年後﹐大年三十清晨﹐陶蘭被宣布允許回家過年﹐監獄的年輕女警察陳潔今天也很高興﹐因為這是她當監獄警察三年來﹐第一次和家人一起過年三十。她決定先送陶蘭回家﹐再回自己家。陶蘭的父母都明顯地老了許多……最終﹐一家三口抱在了一起。

This is a story about catholicity and love.
A remarried couple, with their respective daughters Xiao Qin and Tao Lan, live together. Tao Lan kills Xial Qin unintentionally due to a misunderstanding and is put into prison. In the jail, Tao Lan behaves well and is allowed to go home for the spring festival after 17 years of departure from home. But in the bus stop, her father does not to meet her. Chen Jie, a young policewoman, takes great trouble to help her get to her new home. Her father is rather surprised, as the mother doesn't give him the letter from the jail ahead. Tao Lan knees down before her father for feeling sorry that she had killed his daughter accidentally and she is finally forgiven.
