SG Wannabe pushes the musical envelope with their new release. 기존 곡 Jazz, R&B 스타일로 재편곡 및 신곡 3곡 수록
뉴욕에서 기존 음악과 전혀 다른 분위기로 녹음 및 편곡 작업

이번에 발매될 SG워너비 스페셜 앨범의 타이틀은 “STORY IN NEW YORK”. SG워너비는 4집 "The Sentimental Chord" 활동 종료 후 뉴욕을 방문해 휴식을 취하는 한편 콘서트, 뮤지컬 및 전시회 관람, 라이브 클럽 방문 등 재충전의 시간을 가졌으며, 이 때의 경험을 토대로 한 새로운 느낌의 앨범을 내놓게 되었다. 이번 “STORY IN NEW YORK”에는 기존 발표 곡들의 재편곡 버전과 신곡 3곡이 수록될 예정.

SG워너비의 기존 음악 스타일이 ‘한국형 미디엄 템포’였다면, 이번 “STORY IN NEW YORK”을 위해 기존 곡들을 Jazz, R&B 등 ‘New York 스타일’의 완전히 새로운 느낌으로 편곡했다. 신곡 또한 차분한 느낌의 발라드 곡으로, 앨범이 발매될 즈음인 늦가을-초겨울과 매우 잘 어울리는 앨범이 될 것이라고. 또한 뉴욕에서 직접 촬영한 세 멤버의 사진과 함께 그간의 음악 생활 동안 못다한 이야기를 담은 멤버들의 진솔한 글도 함께 실어 일종의 ‘포토스토리’ 형식의 앨범이 될 예정이다.
