Shaolin Boxers (VCD) (Hong Kong Version) VCD

Directed by Huang Da, Shaolin Boxers is an old school Shaw Brothers kung fu flick starring James Tien. Released in 1974, this entertaining film tells a classic tale of good vs. bad with plenty of fist-fighting action. Shaolin Boxers is set in a small village in Fujian where the people live in peace and prosperity. Although occasional troublemakers will surface, the village has remained safe and secure for many years thanks to the protection of the local Shaolin martial arts school. The growing prosperity of the village, however, has brought on a lot of corruption. Every year the Fuquan county holds a martial arts competition to determine who becomes the chairman of the martial arts association. For the past few years, local bigwig Ho has bribed the judge to win, and then used his position to extort protection fees from villagers. But this year, Shaolin master Chuang is determined to step up for the villagers and win the competition.

In a prosperous village in Fukien, the security squad is controlled by Ho Yung, who secures his position by bribing the referee in their annual martial arts tournament. On the other hand, Chuan Tai, master of the Shaolin school, is anxious to win the tournament so that the villagers could be relieved of the heavy security fees to Ho. Although Ho ears up Chuan's school and makes Chuan seriously wounded, Chuan still encourages his students to persist in their course......
