A sequel to the popular Shaolin vs. Evil Dead, Shaolin vs. Evil Dead: Ultimate Power features the same cast as the previous well-received film. Shaw Brothers action star Gordon Liu, earning his fame in the West with Kill Bill, continues to star as an experienced Taoist priest who is also good at martial arts. Action star Terry Fan and actress Marsha Yuan also return to star in the sequel. The story is set in the Ming Dynasty when the incapable government exercises no control over the bandits in the rural villages. A Taoist priest and his apprentices want to fight against the bandits, but the bandits have a poison that can turn human beings into zombies. Apart from the dazzling action sequences enacted by the kung fu stars, scenes with hundreds of zombies, thanks to CG technology, will surely thrill the audience.
