A devoted friar falls madly in love with a mafia boss's daughter in the screwball comedy series She Is Cool, starring Korean Wave superstar Ryu Si Won (Beautiful Days) and the lovely Kang Sung Yeon (Tazza). Originally broadcast in November of 2003, She Is Cool battled the ratings war against the sensational Dae Jang Geum and another period drama The King's Woman. Interestingly, Kang Sung Yeon was initially offered the roles on both of the competing dramas but the actress ultimately opted for the lighthearted comedy. Sporting thick-rimmed eyeglasses and a brown hooded robe, Ryu plays Michael, a gentle-spirited friar who finds himself entangled in an unlikely romantic ware with Hye Kyung (Kang Sung Yeon), an intelligent scholar who also happens to be the mafia's first daughter. The drama also makes room for some engaging performances by The Time of Unrefined Person's fame Ahn Jae Mo who plays the mafia's number-three-man on a mission to win over his boss's daughter.

Hye Kyung (Kang Sung Yeon) is an English college professor who can also dish out some crazy martial arts moves. Unfortunately, her gangster father doesn't seem to care all that much for her super talents, rather focusing on simply marrying off his daughter. So Hye Kyung runs away from home and finds refuge at a monastery working as a librarian. There she meets and falls in love with friar Ho Min (Ryu Si Won). Just when their romance is about to take off, Dong Ki (Ahn Jae Mo), who has long been Hye Kyung's admirer, shows up and makes it clear to Ho Min that he is not about to give up without a good fight.

The story is about the love between 2 guys and 1 girl.
From the title/cover, you may expect the show to be a comedy. The show did start with promise of being funny, romance etc but ended with disappointment. Ahn Jae Mo gave a good performance. Too bad he always ended up with tragic ending.
