Shin Seung Hun - Love O'clock

Shin Seung Hun is back with the latest installment in his 3 Waves of Unexpected Twist trilogy, following 2008's Radio Wave. The ballad king composed and produced this emotional new release, while top composers Hwang Song Jae and Lee Hyun Seung took care of the arrangements. Lyricists Shim Hyun Bo and Yang Jae Sun complete the team behind Love O'clock.

Whereas the first mini album was composed of rock songs, the new release presents groovy R&B songs. Shin conceived the title for the melodious principal track 3 years ago. Titled "Fool For Love" (Track 3), the R&B ballad is about a hopelessly lost lover and features a brass band accompaniment. Also on Love O'clock are the mid-tempo "Now, Is the Time for Love" (Track 2), the house beat dance number "What You Should Leave Behind When You're Leaving" (Track 4), and "Temperature" (Track 5), which features Shin's remarkable vocals backed up by classical piano.

신승훈 두 번째 미니 앨범 ‘러브어클락’ 출시!
가수 신승훈이 미니앨범 ‘러브어클락(Love O'clock)’을 발표하고 본격적인 활동에 들어간다. ‘러브어클락’은 3연작 미니앨범 시리즈인 '3waves of unexpected twist'의 한 앨범으로 지난 해 ‘라디오웨이브’에 이은 두 번째 웨이브 이다.
'러브어클락'은 최고의 싱어송라이터답게 신승훈이 전곡을 작곡, 프로듀싱했으며, 최정상급 작곡가 황성제, 이현승이 편곡에 참여하고, 신승훈과 최상의 콤비를 자랑하는 심현보, 양재선이 작사를 맡아 앨범의 완성도를 한층 높였다.
첫번째 미니앨범 '라디오웨이브'가 모던락스타일의 음악들로 구성되었다면 이번 앨범은 전반적으로 R&B 리듬을 바탕으로 보다 그루브함을 느낄 수 있다.
이번 앨범의 타이틀곡인 ‘사랑치’는 신승훈이 3년 전부터 미리 제목을 구상해 놓은 곡으로 ‘어리석을 치(痴)’의 의미를 넣어 ‘사랑에 서툰, 어리석은 사람들’을 일컫는 신조어이다. ‘사랑치’는 70~80년대 R&B형식에 브라스 사운드를 가미하여 좀처럼 가요에선 들을 수 없었던 새로운 발라드 곡으로 신승훈의 음악성을 다시 한 번 느낄 수 있는 수작이라 할 수 있다. 이외에도 미디움템포의 드라마틱한 노래 ‘지금, 사랑할 시간’, 하우스 댄스 곡의 ‘이별할 때 버려야 할 것들’, 클래식한 피아노 선율과 신승훈의 절제된 보이스가 어우러진 ‘온도’ 등이 수록되어 있다.
'러브어클락'은 발라드를 한 장르로 보았던 기존의 시각에서 벗어나 누구나 공감할 수 있는 감정을 섬세하게 묘사한 가사와 그에 맞는 멜로디와 악기구성을 통해 감각적으로 만들어낸 sensibility한 앨범이라 할 수 있다.
