Sega presents Shining Tears, the successor in spirit to classic titles Shining in the Darkness (Genesis) and the Shining Force triology (Genesis, Saturn). If you played any of those classics, you know that they were first-person role-playing and strategy role-playing games. Shining Tears, by contrast, is an action role-playing game, featuring battles in real-time and cooperative multiplayer game options. The game has a distinct hand-drawn look that should strike a chord with lovers of anime. Especially cool is the “Dual Battle System” that allows a player to control two party members simultaneously.

The title is the story of a young man who has lost his memory and finds himself in a war he does not comprehend. His city is under siege and two magical rings of power are to blame. Through this compelling adventure, the hero and his friends learn the terrible truth about their world as they arm themselves with weaponry, magic, and characters of increasing power.
