Shirley Kwan, absent from the music scene for ten years, finally returns with her duet "Love Re-started" with Alan Tam. Her earlier single About Me, limited to 1,000 copies only, was sold out soon after release. To please her fans, she now releases an AVCD Shirley Kwan before she will hold her concert in February 2006. Three new songs and their MVs/Karaoke versions are compiled.

Shirley Kwan admits that she still feels somewhat uneasy when facing the media. Witty lyricist Wyman Wong penned the words for "Aboput Me", seemingly to be Shirley Kwan's complaints against the paparazzi. In the MV she performs this song inside a glass showcase. Apart from "Love Re-started", the album also contains two other new songs, namely "Bring Me to Dance" and "Evolution".

Shirley Kwan has always impressed me with a very warm and exotic voice. She is truly an original. And I like her groove, blends so well with the background music. She has great timing and phrasing and emotions. And I think her duet with Alan Tam is quite outstanding. But I don't quite understand why she is always not as popular as she should have been way back when she started in the late 80's. In my opinion, I think she should have enjoyed superstar status long ago. She deserves it. She reminds me a little of my all-time fav singer, Rowena Cortes. When I hear her sing, I can hear a little resemblance there. Maybe, Rowena was Shirley's influence in the old days?
