Good Enough for Me
| Cheung Ying plays a college student who begins to slide down a slippery slope in his pursuit of two women (first Pak Yin, then Ha Ping). As in most of his movies, he commands a great performance. Wong Man-Lei who plays his mom always comes through as well. A particular well acted and explosive scene comes when Wong Man-Lei confronts Ha Ping in Cheung Ying's apartment after finding them together in bed one morning. I think Ha Ping had the better role playing the sassy "Queen" of the college while Pak Yin had her usual milder role of the "queen of hearts". My only problem with the story was why would either women want Cheung Ying after he becomes a "cad" to them and to his own mom? Anyways, despite its shortcomings, I would still recommend this movie. |
