January 17, 2007 Better than Outgrow!Although it's no VALENTI, this album is definitely better than her previous one, OUTGROW, and it was only made in like half the time! There are some really fantastic songs on the album, then some I don't really like. Lady Galaxy and Revolution are a little too Americanized for me.. I wish they were more like WINDING ROAD and Some Day One Day. Lady Galaxy sounds a lot like My Humps. If these songs were'nt on here I'd probably give it a higher score. So, putting them aside, the album is great. The new songs such as STILL, SO REAL, Gracious Days, and no more make me sick are perfect B-sides. Your Color and Winter Love are still my favorites! So in all, if you're looking for classic BoA, you're not going to find it here. But like me, if you try to forget how disappointed you are, it still is great Jpop. =) Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

August 8, 2006 Hot Wave! What annoys me is how people judge the entire single on the intent of it or all that -- what about the songs? I'm a more recent Ku fan so I can't compare them to her past, but these 4 songs are a definite success. My favorite is With Your Smile (which is NOT the same as I'll be There, btw). It sounds really cute and poppy and I love it ^^" I'll be There is a nice soft rock song, and Ningyohime is a harder rock song! I have no problem with her voice in it, I actually like it (I think it's partly the music that makes her sound whiny) :P JUICY is a hip-hop song -- I've never been a hip-hop fan, so I can't really judge it. In all, I'm surprised Koda Kumi can get 4 fantastic A-sides on 1 mini-album. Just, wow. And she proves she can sing in almost any category of pop music :) Did you find this review helpful? August 8, 2006 Wow!
I've always loved F.I.R and when I saw that their new album was coming out, I had preordered it 5 minutes later :) I wasn't disappointed! I can tell F.I.R is trying different things, because their last album was a lot like the first. I love track 2, 3, 5, and 9 the best, but I enjoy every song on the album. F.I.R uses different styles in this album such as harder rock music (I Don't Care), 40's jazz music (1234567), pop music (Get High), then the usual F.I.R-sounding songs :) To me think Faye's voice has improved a lot. A definite must-buy! Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

August 8, 2006 Key of HeartI was awaiting this single real badly after the last one and I wasn't disappointed :) Key of Heart is a great song for BoA. It's summery and cute and isnt exactly her "old" style but isn't like anything on Outgrow either. It's actually a lot like Your Color (which I love). Im really proud of BoA :3 Dotch is an enjoyable upbeat song with a funky beat! I like it too! I can't wait to see BoA's next releases. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

May 11, 2006 WoooahI just read the reviews on here, and all I can say is Im disgusted. One person gives this no stars because he/she thinks Koda Kumi didnt put enough work in it. Another only gives it 2 stars because it supposedly sounds like Birthday Eve. Why dont you rate this single on the SONG, not on whether you think you've heard it already! This song sounds nothing like anything Ive heard from her, but Im not a die hard fan. The instrumentals are beautiful (I love the violinw) and whenever I listen to it (which is everyday) I feel like I want to dance to it! There's just something about it that makes me happy. I know everyone thinks Koda Kumi is going to fast, but does it really matter if the songs she releases are actually GOOD? I actually dont usually like her songs -- they're too hip hop or w/e for me. This one is definatly great, and if she released more songs like this, Cutie Honey, No Regret, M.a.z.e, and Rain, she just got herself a new fan ^^ Did you find this review helpful? April 13, 2006 AverageI dont know why I havent written a review earlier ;p Anyways, I have only been a fan of BoA since less than 2 years ago. The first songs I heard (other than Every Heart) were ones from Love & Honesty (my friend had a "BoA 2004" CD (no idea where she got it :P)). Then I bought Valenti. Im a little sad that BoA hasnt sang anything like Valenti, Miracle, Jewel Song, and all the other "filler" songs on that album. On Valenti, I loved every song. Outgrow however, to me it DOES feel a little rushed. There, of course, is nothing wrong with how BoA sings the songs :X I just think that there could have been more work placed in them. Honestly I dont care if I had to wait another year for the album; I want it to be the best it can. I personally dont have any obsessions on this album like I did with Love & Honesty and VALENTI. The songs are all nice, but they just aren't good enough for me. The best songs on here are Do The Motion and Everlasting :) Some of the others hurt my poor ears -- percussion that is XD Like Cosmic Eyes and Dakishimeru. Also, Ive seen so many people dislike the album with passion. Its funny because the people who dislike it all dislike different songs on it ;p Some people hate Outgrow~Ready Butterfly~, others think its the only good song. So do you think BoA did a good job with different styles? Seems so. Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -
Nanairo no Ashita - Brand New Beat / Your Color (Japan Version)
Nanairo no Ashita - Brand New Beat / Your Color (Japan Version)
(13)Our Price: US$13.49Usually ships within 7 daysMarch 25, 2006 BoA's new singleI've listened to both these songs already, and all these reviews quite disappoint me =/ I cant believe no one likes Your Color. Right now, this is one of my favorite songs. It isnt like her usual ballads, but its catchy and sounds so sweet. I almost like it as much as Everlasting and definatly more than Jewel Song. I dont understand the lyrics though. In the chorus I hear a lot of her more mature voice and it fits it nicely. It almost made me cry because it sounds so sad >< Brand New Beat sounds a lot better than Make A Secret and Dakishimeru. At least there is a beat in the new song; those other 2 singles annoyed me. Yea, it surprised me with how it started out -- but its catchy and sort of old school BoA. I love the English in it as well :) She's gotten better at that too. It actually makes me feel the words instead of going "ok.. BoA sounds like she doesnt even understand what she's saying.." So in all, I think that BoA has made a move in improving. I am not disappointed in the single, and I wish people would understand that. I like both these songs and give a thumbs up. Definatly worth a buy :) Now I cant wait for her next songs.
