It sucked Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
The overall style of this movie was supposed to be "futuristic". Too bad, it was made in such a generic way, at times it was almost lame. The slow-mo scenes are overdone and overdramatized. It was interesting watching Michelle do a more playful character. Too bad her expressions and are limited, I wouldn't exactly call it acting. I'd rather re-watch Mission Impossible or the Matrix.

VERY light, but fun Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
This movie starts outvery well. There's a nice little motorcycle jump over the Great Wall (I say little jump because it comes so quickly and without enough set up to make it a really grandiose event). This is followed by a nicely edited fight atop a semi-truck (the superb masking of wire work reveals that this is indeed a big budget picture), although the Western actors here are typical for Hong Kong pictures and are terrible, TERRIBLE actors whose characters for for some reason know enough kungfu to kick and puch quite well only to get the crap beat out of them. Michelle Yeoh's and Richie Jen's characters special connection is shon via magnificent flashback scenes filmed in mainland China. It is this strong relationship that saves the film from being an otherwise pretty poor one. The lead villain's kung fu offers no menace in that is is pretty non-existant and the lines he delivers are done so in the style of a TRANSFORMERS cartoon. Michael Jai White's bulk and limited martial arts and acting skills make one's eyes roll instead of bug out as he poses over and over again before and during his scenes (his reactions while fighting look VERY coreographed and nonspontaneious and his broad facial reactions as an actor show he probably doen't speak Chinese and was simply directed to "look angry." His partner Lee Bing Bing is okay to look at, but makes an unconvincing heavy as her martial arts look weakest of all. If you can ignore the weak villains and can concentrate on Michelle and Richie's character interplay and respective fighting and comedy skills then you may come away liking, but not loving, this picture as I did. Other pluses include a nice musical score (especially effective during the mainland kungfu school scenes), colorful interior designwork, and a plot that is peppered with a sense of playfulness. Oh, and in regards to Michelle's frequent hair and clothing changes throughout the picture, I personally liked it. Her character is a famous model, afterall, and she's not that bad to look at either!

It's alright Customer Review Rated Bad 5 - 5 out of 10
They did have a big budget for this film and they must have paid mega bucks to have a panda in the film.

Apart from the cute bear, the film was OK. I have found the lead actor annoying and Michelle Yeoh is good as always. But there was no need for the slow speed fight scenes, they were not fighting fast enough for me to miss the moves.

Better than 'The Touch' and a million times better than 'Twin Effects

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
this movie is soooooo corny its unbelievable'!!!
i cant understand how anyone thought this was good, after films like crouching tiger and so on,they obviously had a good budget for this film and wasted it! to many john woo esq slow motion scenes, fight scenes that looked as though they belong in music videos i think the whole idea of this film was to see how many outfits and hairstyles michelle could fit into it... she would get on her bike in one outfit go after the bad guys and arrive to fight them in a diferent one!!! pleeeeeeaaaaaassssseeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
