Ryuhei Kitamura has never let me down, when it comes to his films. Not once. To be honest, I like pretty much everything about this movie. Not sure if this was composed by Nobuhiko Morino (who does most of Kitamura's other films), or not, but the choice of music is great as always. I'm not sure if I'd pay this much, to blind-buy a movie ever again, but for Sky High, it was worth every penny. I enjoyed every second of this movie. Even before it ended, I already decided I liked it. Really, nothing could've destroyed it. When I thought I liked it enough, it kept getting better. This film, along with Kitamura's other films I've seen (Versus, Aragami, Alive, Azumi) are all highly recommended. This one being my second favorite of the five. Not everyone can, or will like it, but I certainly did. The DVD itself is also a good one, with the trailer on it, I kept watching over, and over again on the internet. It also includes five TV spots, action chapters, another trailer, and couple other things. If you're worried about the English subtitling, don't be. It was good, and I don't remember seeing too many mistakes (incoherent sentences, misspelled words, etc..). Not to mention the song played in the end credits is "Horizon" by Hyde, of L'Arc~en~Ciel, who are one of my favorite bands. |
