Yasu from Janne Da Arc

Just to offer a bit of history, Acid Black Cherry is a solo project band created by Yasunori Hayashi, the vocalist from Janne Da Arc. He combines his project with members from the popular J-Rock bands SHUSE, LUNA SEA, PENICILLIN, and Aucifer. In May of 2007, Yasu and his band had a secret tour in Japan, with a live show in Shinjuku and worldwide release show on the internet. SPELL MAGIC is their first single and debuted at Oricon Chart Rank 4! SPELL MAGIC is a grunge metal song, similar to Dir En Grey's style of the "nu metal" genre. Fast paced and very upbeat, it is the type of song you listen to rocking your head back and forth lost in the music. The second track, SHININ' ON, is a much slower ballad. Again, Yasu's phenomenal vocals reach highs and lows skillfully and cleanly, just like predecessors X-Japan in terms of singing feel. It is amazing how high Yasu's vocals can go. A very beautiful song! |
