The return of Sammo Hung Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Yes it is somewhat the return of Sammo Hung but it is also the confirmation that Donnie Yen is the best martial arts Hong Kong actors and Choregrapher out there. The film is a great action cop movie with flash of incredible fights. Especialy at the end where Donnie fight Wu Jing: it is to me one of the greatest fight scene of all time. This film does not get 10 out 10 cause the flow of the movie is uneven!!

SPL is one those action movies where it suceeds on both levels and this could be Donnie Yen's best film to date.The best fight scenes are of course the ally fight with Wu Jing and the final fight with Sammo Hung.

I really felt that this movie had a lot of momentum and anticipation building up, being the first modern movie I've seen take place in the 90's era. Wilson Yip proves to be a creative director, and of course, when teamed with Donnie Yen as an action director, expands onto a masterpiece in itself, reflecting the glory days when anything could happen.

What a show!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This, to me, was the film that HK made in a bid to win back the action crown handed to Tony Jaa for his work in Ong Bak, previous to this production. And he well deserved it! But when Donnie, Sammo and Wu Jing hit the screens with SPL - it was clear that HK wasn't giving in that easily. An amazing thriller, beautifully directed with shattering performances from all - SPL should be in every action fans collection!!

Donnie Yen N Sammo Hung... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
One of the rarest film you'll ever get to see two great action stars... truly amazing.

Sammo Hung is good playing his role as a villain in this movie. Although he is now what we call "heavy weight", his action/stunt did not deteriorate. Action to the end. A little violent.. but its needed in this movie.

its about time that donnie yen and sammo hung were put in a film together also the story was quite good as well sammo hung had a ruthless gangster role for a change which it even better and as for donnie yen he's a martial arts god

Stylish, but empty Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
SPL (or Killzone, as it is known in America) is a beautifully filmed, sharply edited, stylish production filled with one Hong Kong gangster vs. cops movie cliche after another. I never believed the story or the characters for a second. Perhaps it was the notion that Simon Yam's character was supposed to have an inoperable brain tumor that ensured that I couldn't buy into this story; he looked pretty darn healthy for most of the movie, didn't he? This is state of the art film-making shackled to lots of bad, recycled story concepts.

Knew this is gonna be good as soon as i saw the cover: Donnie Vs Sammo. But the film had more of a plot than i expected, rather than pure fighting: which is good.
Fight scenes are very good and most of them are really bloody: make sure the kids r in bed ;P
The ending was alright, but didn't like it when Donnie's character was caught off guard....
Overall, an awesome lads' flick.

It's about time a really good action movie comes out that does not need to rely on CG(Computer Graphics)to make the action look good. It's really good to see Sammo Hung back in a good movie with real fighters again. All I can say about dDonnie Yen is that he's doing a fine job as an action director.

This has got to be one of the best action film I've seen in a long time. Donnie and Sambo, what a combo kung-fu fans have dreamed of. The story line is full of suspense, top fighting scenes and full on action that you wont wanna miss! I hate it when you watch an action film that drags on and all you want is pure action which this film brings to the table. Totally unmissable!
