Spring of Dalja OST (KBS TV Series)

Continuing the recent Korean romantic comedy trend, popular KBS drama Spring of Dalja revolves around the hilarious romantic adventures of thirtysomething career woman Oh Dalja. Popular actress Chae Rim (All About Eve), returning to Korean television after a string of Chinese dramas in the past few years, plays the title role with endearingly awkward zest. Dalja has been waiting for love for many years, but when her spring finally comes, it may be more than she can handle. She gets caught between a dashing businessman (Lee Hyun Woo, Wedding) with a clingy ex-wife and a charming younger man (rising star Lee Min Ki, Really Really Like You), with whom she starts a contract relationship. The drama features some sidesplitting parodies and co-stars Gong Hyung Jin (Alone in Love) and Lee Hye Young from Save the Last Dance For Me and popular variety show Heroine 6.

Although not all of the songs played in Spring of Dalja made it to the track list, the soundtrack selection does a good job of evoking the light and breezy atmosphere of the drama. Most familiar, of course, is main theme "Miraculous Love" (Track 1), sung by Lee Kyung Hwa. The wistfully romantic mid-tempo ballad has a playful beat and catchy chorus reminiscent of an 80s pop song. Other songs in the soundtrack include Park Hye Kyoung's Sweet Lover (Track 2), So Yeon's "Calling Up Memories" (Track 4), and Eun Young's "Heart" (Track 7).

‘나는 언제나 사랑에 배고프다’ 우리시대 서른셋 노처녀 달자 역으로 채림이 주연하며 화제를 모으고, 여기에 드라마 풀하우스, 백설공주, 부활 등 때로는 즐겁고 경쾌하며, 때로는 비장하면서도 묵직한 슬픔과 애절한 사랑을 음악으로 만들어내는 국내 최고의 드라마 음악감독 지평권 감독이 이번 ‘달자의 봄’OST를 맡았다.
또한 가수 박혜경, MRJ, 펄스데이, K-jun등 뛰어난 가창력으로 우리에게 친숙한 가수들이 이번 OST에 참여하여 앨범의 느낌을 만들어냈다.
드라마의 엔딩 곡으로 사용된, 타이틀 곡 ‘기적 같은 사랑’은 미디움 템포의 댄스풍 발라드로서, 경쾌한 브라스 사운드와 시원스런 보컬은 드라마의 주제에 걸 맞는 느낌의 노래이다. ‘Sweet Lover’는 달콤 쌉싸름한 분위기의 연인과 그들의 사랑을 그려낸 스타일의 곡으로, 가수 박혜경이 보컬에 참여하여 제목만큼이나 귀엽고 상큼한 노래를 만들어 주고 있다.
‘To You Mine’ 은 펄스데이 라는 신인그룹이 참여한 곡으로 이지리스닝 계열의 브릿팝 스타일이 앨범의 분위기를 한층 더 상승시키고 있다. ‘추억을 열다’ 는 드라마 속 주인공 채림의 러브 테마 음악으로, 사랑을 그리워하는 심정을 표현하는 발라드 곡이다. 최근 광고음악, 대중음악 등의 분야에서 주목 받고 있는 싱어송 라이터 K-jun이 보컬 및 작사, 작곡을 맡은 ‘내 손을 잡아줘’도 수록되어 있다. K-jun은 015B의 컴백 앨범에서 객원 보컬로 참여하여 싱어송 라이터로서 발군의 실력을 발휘하기도 하였다.
