But when Jung-Suh receives a new family, everything changes! Stepmother Tae Mi-Ra cruelly manipulates Jung-Suh, and when envious stepsister Yoo-Ri (Kim Tae-Hee) commits an unspeakable act, Jung-Suh is literally left helpless, and loses her memory!

At the crucial moment, Jung-Suh's lonely and affectionate stepbrother Tae-Hwa (Shin Hyun-Joon of Guns and Talks and Bichunmoo) seizes the opportunity to escape his cruel family - and takes Jung-Suh with him! Song-Joo is left behind, and as the years go by, his heart remains irreparably broken. But one day Song-Joo sees a girl who bears a remarkable resemblance to Jung-Suh, and he becomes convinced that this girl is really his long-lost love. She denies his claim, but Song-Joo's heart cannot be swayed. Classic drama to see again & again... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is a drama I take parts out to watch again and again...especially when I hear the OST with Kim Bum Soo singing the main song.

I had purchased the dvd when they were originally sold for $99.95 & now the price is where most people can afford to own & definitely should.

If you are Choi Ji Woo & Kwan Sang Woo fan, than you will not be disappointed. The drama is mostly on the sad side so prepare to take some tissues for those heartfelt tears. There are some cute & funny scenes between CJW & KSW so there are some lighter moments.

Kim Tae Hee's role is hard to watch because she plays such mean step sister. So often in Korean dramas, the mean roles are played by the attractive actors and actresses. I suppose that is so the audience can tolerate their terrible behaviors by being exteriorly nice to look at.

The acting by all were very convincing. One would think to believe that CJW & KSW are true couple in life but as he is married to Son Tae Young...and CJW with her boyfriend from Air City drama, Lee Jin Wook (who currently is serving his military duties)...it is all a fairy tale love of good acting and well written story.

I will keep this drama in my ever growing collection of Korean dramas to resurface & to remind myself that there are true love in life.

 Still one of the best... Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
No matter what other Korean dramas I currently watch, I still remember this drama. I often listen to the OST for this series and I can picture the scenes of Kwan Sang Woo and Choi Ji Woo. Together they were so good in this...loved the chemistry between the two. Watching this, one would think that they should have gotten married to eachother rather than him marrying Son Tae Young (lovely girl)...guess that is called wonderful acting.

It is extremely sad but beautiful story. It makes you cry so be prepared to let it all out.

This is a classic now, it is one of the best K-dramas. Get the OST if you can, the music fits beautifully to the drama.

 One of the Best Korean Drama Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I bought the DVD (English version)early this month and I'm impressed with YesAsia for a fast delivery. I was doubtful about the quality of the DVD since I bought DVDs from other sites, but I have to say the DVD I got was in good quality with a nice box. The English subtitle is quite impressive since the other ones I bought I could barely understand the english sub. I heard that this is a good drama, but I couldn't buy it yet since I find it to be expensive. I'm so glad the Stairways to Heaven is on sale.

Now regarding the drama, it's a plus when you already have a crush on Kwon Sang Woo since I first saw him in Sad Love Story then add a good drama story line then what you have here is a hit Korean drama story for me. Kwon Sang Woo never fails to impress me. I felt his pain. He is really one of the great actor I admire in my list of Korean actors. All the actors and actresses here were all good. Even though, I find this drama to be in correlation with Cinderella there were still a different twist in every episodes. It's hard to predict the ending of the story because of all the different twist in the story line along the way. I find Choi Ji Woo to be a great actress and beautiful. I'm currently watching her in Celebrity Lover/Sweetheart here in the US. Basically I got hook in Korean Drama when I watched the Sad Love Story. I would recommend both dramas to everyone. If you want a good comedy drama, I would recommend My Lovely Samsoon.

 Best Korean Drama I've Seen Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Definitely the best drama ever. The story is great and the acting couldn't be better. The songs are really beautiful too, especially the main theme. This version - Stairway to Heaven (English Subtitled)(SBS TV Series) - comes in very nice packaging with many photos of the characters. The English subtitles are quite good as well. Overall I was very impressed when I received my copy, not only because of the quality of the product but also because of the good service as I received the DVD's sooner than I expected. 10 out of 10.

 cried buckets...amazing series Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This was the saddest series i've seen in my life. I cried a lot, even though it left me so sad for a couple of weeks after finishing the series i still highly recommend it!!!! After watching this, you will no longer wonder why Choi Ji Woo & Kwon Sang Woo are so popular across Asia & considererd the most talented. Their love was presented in such a real way that it left me speechless. It's simply movies and celebrities like these that make the K-Enterainment Industry continue to dominate across Asia and around the world!! Definitely a Must-Watch K-Series of all times!!
