"Startin'" is a cool pop-rock song that is very catchy and "Born to Be..." was an Olympic theme song (that should tell you something :P) and the song sounds really, well, Olympic-y. It's awesome. Then we get a nice little bonus, "Teens" ! The song was done for TRF's latest album and I guess Ayu decided to put the song on this single as a treat for those who buy the single. The tracklist says that its "accoustic version" but I think it sounds almost the EXACT same as the original. As for the DVD, I think Startin' is really fun and Ayumi looks very pretty in it. Born to Be's PV sucks, though. You'll know what I'm talking about. There are tons of lights that shine so bright you can't even see what's going on. It's annoying. But it's still worth getting it with the DVD because Startin' is great. All 3 songs of the single are really different from each other and each one is awesome in its own way. I recommend it!

i have to say..the cover for this single looks very sexy..yet classy at the same time..not too revealing..but enough to make ppl pay close attention...as for the songs..startin' is a fast-paced track..i like how ayumi is using differ genres and types of music to produce her songs..i liek the beat and how it tempos up during the chorus..really catchy to me...the pv for the song is really weird too..there's so much computer effects..it made the pv not much of any sense..i didn't really like it...as for born to be...another catchy song..cause it has a cheerleading feel..it makes me wanna stomp and sing along..these 2 songs are overall quite memorable..and that's one of the qualities a good song should have...well done

But she's just getting started! yes this is quite the little pop song. its got a killer guitar hook that drives this crazy fun song. born to be...is good. i just would rather listen to startin'. born to be is very theatical...i think she's got a choir going on it is..i don't know.. good single though!

This my first Ayu-single, and my first item bought from YesAsia. The songs are all good and catchy! Only one thing dissapointed me: the case that the CD was in, was broken. It doesn't matter so much, but I got a little trauma of buying from here... Everybody who likes Ayu, buys this single!!!

Once again ayu releases her single in two editions - CD only and CD+DVD. This is the CD-only edition. I am a freaky ayu fan so I have to have both editions. It;s a shame that the only difference between the two editions is ONLY the cover... but I am still happy to have two new ayu items in my collection.

Ayu's first 2006 single! It contains two songs "Startin'" and "Born To Be...". The songs are good... yes... only good - they are not ayu's best but are really enjoyable. The DVD contains only two PVs... so it will probably become useless once the album will come out in december. But I am still gladly buying this single - and I cant wait for the next one.

I have to say this is by far one of my favorite Ayumi's singles. Born to be...is a catchy and upbeat song that is very pleasing to the ears and inspiring. While Starin' is a rockish song with a lot of attitude. A great side song indeed. Both songs compliment eachother and go very well together. You won't be disappointed with this single. It is awesome. I love it!

Startin' is a really good song, but Born to Be is weird, and not good. Born to Be sounds like a cheap outdated song from the 1980's. But Startin' on the other hand is a catchy tune.

This single is another amazing release by Ayu. The two main songs, "Startin'" and "Born To Be.." are great. Startin' is an upbeat, strong song, where as Born To Be is more leaning towards the 'inspirational' feel. Make sense, since this particular song was used in the Winter Olympics TV program in Japan. The song "Teens" is a cover version. But it is quite the gem. It really shows the amazing emotion Ayu puts into her singing. As for the videos, Startin' is fun. But I really cannot be too positive with Born To Be. However, Ayu look gorgeous in Startin', so it's still worth the $2 to get the DVD as well. There seem to have been some worries, since the relative low sales for the previous single (Bold and Delicious), but her "(miss)understood" album threw that right back at the doubters, and this single should erase all shred of doubt that Ayu is still #1.
