Great single!
| I really do like this single but I don't quite think it is as good as STEP you. I really don't think "Born To Be..." is bad - I love it! Seems very reminicent of older Ayu songs! |

She's BAAAAAAAAAAACK!

Number 1 again; alright now Ayu keep on giving those other pop-princesses a run for their money! Startin' is probably one of Ayu's most addictive tunes yet. It has this poppy-western feel to it and I love it!!! The PV for it is amazing to me; especially the butterfly glasses. Only a lady with class and an individual style can make those sunglasses look so freaking amazing. Born To Be is the Japanese-Olympics theme, it's okay at first but the more you listen to it the more you'll love it. The PV I haven't seen yet but I have seen screenshots of it and it looks pretty good. Teens----ehh, I haven't listened to the acoustic version; but I LOVED the version that's on the Lif-e-motions tribute album. It reminds me of a depressing version of fairyland. (I know it's weird sounding but I like that song!) I'm gonna buy the overseas version soon...cuz I can't afford the Japanese version. LOL, so if you can afford it; buy this single & you won't be dissapointed. If you can't just wait for the OS to come. |

Good Startin' in 2006
|
Ayu starts 2006 with one of her best single. Three reasons u must buy this single : the cover art (is so.... sexeeehhh), her song duet with TRF and her single itself. Startin is a catchy rockish song. Nice but not best. Her PV is err... I dunno, I dont like it too much. Born to be... is a very nice song, better than Startin IMO. Overall, this single is a must have. |

Excellent!
| The song Startin' is absolutely great! It has a rockish feel to it and the PV is great! Born to be is a song which is growing on me however I think Startin's PV is better. |

Ayu-dono's Done It Again!!
| Startin' is an absolutely awesome rockish song. The yellow outfit she wears on the motorcycle in the PV reminds me of Kill Bill though. The song itself reminds me of something like STEP you, and I can't wait to own this. "Born to be..." however, is one of those songs that takes a bit of getting used to, but it'll grow on you. "teens" is an absolutely beautifully sung ballad that you'll adore. Her voice sounds just SO perfect. I'm buying both versions released soon. I reccomend it to you as well. You'll love this single. |

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!
| The two 2 songs featured on this single is definitly worth your money! Startin' is a upbeat rock song that catches yur attention the moment you listen to it cause its so catchy and cool!! Born to Be... is another upbeat pop song that reminds you of fairyland. However, Born to Be... is surely a lot more times better than fairyland. the 2 new pvs are cool and very nice!!!! |

2006 began with the release of Ayu's hit-album "(miss)understood" on the 1st of january. Now she is about to release her 39th single, and she worked her ass of for this single. Not only did she record two great songs, but this single will also include an acoustic version of the song "teens" (which' original version is featured on the TRF-tribute album). So we've got 3 songs, 2 instrumentals, 2 video clips and maybe even some extra's; who knows? Certainly this single is going to be one of the good hit-singles of 2006. Even at her 39th single Ayu is still a very popular artist. And she should be, because these songs are great! Startin' is a cool upbeat electronic pop/rock song and is used as the official opening theme for Capcom's Onimusha 4: Dawn of dreams. The 2nd track, Born to Be... is chosen by Torino to be used as the Winter Olympics 2006 theme song. This track is also upbeat, but much happier and catchier than Startin'. The 3rd song, Teens, is a cover of TRF's song with the same title. It's a slow pop-like ballad. All together, this is more than enough reason to definitely buy this single! You can't miss it! At any rate, it's quite cheap considering the amount of songs and PVs. |

Startin' Just think the new STEP you
| As we could hear from the Countdown 2005-2006 performance of Startin' it is a strong song that seems like it will be 2006's answer to STEP you. A rockyish song that you could easily get addicted to. The small preview of Born To Be... that is avalible sounds like a very inspirational and beautiful song. Im sure this single will do well |
