The cruelty of fate and the yearning of true love intertwine in Autumn in My Heart, the classic KBS drama starring Song Seung Heon, Song Hye Kyo, and Won Bin. Also known by the titles A Tale of Autumn and Endless Love, this immensely popular 2001 melodrama marked the beginning of the Korean Wave. No Korean drama collection is complete without Autumn in My Heart.
Yoon Eun Suh and Choi Shin Ae were born on the same day, live in the same town, and attend the same school, but their lives could not be more different. Eun Suh (played as a teenager by Moon Geun Young) leads a happy, comfortable life with her parents and her brother, Jun Suh, while Shin Ae lives in near abject poverty. However, the tables turn when the parents discover the two girls had been accidentally switched at birth. After a few twists and turns, the girls are returned to their rightful families and Eun Suh is tearfully separated from the Yoon family when they move to the United States.
Years later, Jun Suh (Song Seung Heon) returns to Korea as a successful artist. Everything changes for the already-engaged Jun Suh when he crosses paths with Eun Suh (Song Hye Kyo). He instinctively wants to protect his "sister", who has had a difficult life in his absence. Jun Suh's headstrong friend Tae Seok becomes smitten with the beautiful Eun Suh, but it soon becomes clear that the bond Jun Suh and Eun Suh share is more than just that of brother and sister. Can they stay together when it hurts everyone around them? Can love defy all?

恩熙（宋慧喬飾）是尹教授的女兒，家境很富裕，長的漂亮，成績又好，在學校裡成為朋友們羨慕的對象。在同一個班級裡，有一個叫芯愛（韓彩英飾）的女孩子，她的爸爸因為生病去世了，哥哥又是個游手好閒的人，媽媽辛辛苦苦地經營一個小吃店，生活很艱難。在學校中，芯愛喜歡恩熙的哥哥俊熙（宋承憲飾），卻被拒絕，因此她尤其嫉妒恩熙。
有一天，下課以後，恩熙騎著自行車回家，與一輛突然從街道出來的貨車相撞，發生了嚴重的交通事故。在被送到醫院以後，她因為失血過多需要輸血。但是她的父母在此時發現了一件很奇怪的事情，那就是恩熙的血型與尹教授夫婦的血型完全不一樣。尹教授夫婦找到當初恩熙出生的醫院，才了解到芯愛與恩熙被調換這一讓人吃驚的事實。

Best drama ever!
| This is the best drama I've seen so far, even better than the Hollywood made dramas. It talks about true love, unrequited love and even mother's unconditional love to her own child. The acting is great and the story flows smooothly from beginning to end. I'm not Korean but I was touched by this story. There is really no boundary if the drama and story is very good. Very highly recommended. |

| What an aweful acting from most of the casts. The story just went on and on aimlessly, the scripts were horrendous, I just do not want to see another drama like this, the male lead actor was simply wood-like. . |

I have never cried as much in life as I have in this TV series. I saw it a while ago and I actually recieved this series as a gift for christmas. This series is very moving and I was deeply touched by it. I'm not very easily moved to tears in realife situations, but this series really hit the core. Autumn's Tale definitely has my recommendations. |

a let down drama
| Their love not being accepted by society here was never a problem as the couple was not blood related. The two leads (esp.Song SH)need to go back to acting school. There were tons of tears but you wouldn't be crying with them. The translation was also a big let down. It was not until the 7th dics when Won Bin delivered the only two good epistles. The best acting comes from the two mothers, though of very contrasting characters, both gave extremely powerful performances throughout. the colours of Autumn were surely beautiful. The ending however was just rubbish. |

Horrible
Horrible
| Despite many claim it to be the touching series that can make people cries tonnes of tears, it is hardly true except for the first three episodes. The cries from watching the rest of the episodes are rather a torture from watching such draggy series with mediocre acting. The typical sad and one-dimensional plot doesn't help either. Overall, the series seems to have little point. |
