Set in a Taiwan military dependents' village from the 1950s to the 1970s, CTV's sweeping drama Story of Time (a.k.a. Guang Yin De Gu Shi) follows the lives and times of different generations of Taiwan youth and families. Calling up fond memories and sentiments of yesteryear, the nostalgic series has greatly connected with a wide range of viewers. The drama's ensemble cast includes Tammy Chen (Starry Starry Night), Megan Lai (Silence), Leroy Yang (Sweet Relationship), Chang Chieh (Winds of September), Justine Ji, and Ma Nian Xian (Cape No. 7).

Previously released as a two-disc set, Story of Time OST is now available on two separate CD releases. The "Youth Edition" of the soundtrack features Luo Da You's title theme, A-yue Chang and Peggy Lin's ending theme duet "Return to the Past", and the insert song "Watch Over Sunshine, Watch Over You" performed by One Million Star: Season 4 finalists.
