Jazz singer-turned-ballad queen Suh Young Eun returns six months after her recent surgery to release her first mini album Walk In The Desert. The album contains 3 brand new songs plus 2 songs previously released on other albums. In her first duet ever, Suh pairs up with lyrical vocalist Han Kyung Il, best known for hits like "Half of My Life" and "Separation is Far Away", in Goodbye (Track 3), a sorrowful ballad written and composed by Yoon Min Soo of Vibe. Other participants include Hong Kyung Min who pitches in his sexy masculine vocals in Sarang eun geu ruh ke ggeut nat da ("Love Ended Like That" - Track 2) and Oksoo Photo Studio who collaborates with Suh in She woon sarang ("Easy Love" - Track 5), which originally featured as the "bicycle song" for the popular drama My Lovely Sam-Soon. Completing the tracklist is Cheoum Sarang ("First Love" - Track 4) a popular song already featured in the Lovers soundtrack.

When i came across this mini album, i was suprised at the price, i had heard a couple of songs by Suh Young Eun but wasn't an enormous fan of her, i more brought the album just as a nice little extra with my other orders to have something different and just for the fun of seeing if i would like it. Now that i've listened to it i'm even more suprised the price is so low, the album is great, the first two songs are nice, srong, emotionally ballads, i especially love the third song, it's very powerful and has a catchy chorus and the last two songs are nice and uplifting. Definetly worth the buy. |
