July 6, 2007 Happy and free summer single
Ayumi has done it again--produced 2 fantasic songs!! Not to mention her music videos fit completely and flawlessly with her new tracks!
BLUE BIRD is an warm, energetic summer song (with a touch of a fantasy-feeling) that will make u want 2 start dancin and keep u glued 2 it the music for months. :D
BLUE BIRD's pv was shot in heavenly Guam, with its white sandy beaches, deep blue sea, and lush green mountains. The pv makes u wish u were in Guam right now or would hav had a chance 2 b one of Ayu's friends/dancers in the making of BLUE BIRD. (Sigh... THAT would've been totally out of this world!!!!!!) This is one of my favorite pv's from Ayu!!
Beautiful Fighters is an up-tempo, inspiring, dance piece, that like BLUE BIRD, will also keep u hooked. She sings and shows in her pv, women who work ordinary jobs and have ordinary lives. Even tho we women mess up, we need 2 hang in there--we r beautiful fighters.
Ayu's hardground mix of BLUE BIRD is a trance version of the original song. Very much worth listening 2. Hey, if u buy this single, u just might b able 2 use this particular remix at a party U might b hosting!!

June 22, 2007 Not Ayu's best, but still goodFirst of all, let me say that Ayumi is THE BEST music artist in the universe!! Glitter/fated is the inspiring, confident, beautiful, and independent J-pop queen's 41st single. There is no pv for these songs but a mini movie made for them instead (like her song Voyage). Glitter/fated leaked on June 12, 2007.
Glitter is used in the commercial promoting Zespri Gold Kiwi. Glitter is a fun, shimmering, summer pop song full of positive energy. In some parts, her voice sounds strained--like she is trying to hard. The small solo with the techno music seems to disrupt the whole setting of a summery themed song. The song is not very original for Ayumi's standards, but it's still a song worth listening to. I rate glitter 3 stars out of 5 stars.
Fated, the B-side of this single, is a slow rock ballad. I love the sound of the electric guitar when it comes up and Ayu's low voice accomadates well for this song. Fated is very unique, original, and well thought of more so than glitter. I rate fated 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Overall, I rated this single a 7 out of 10, because I know Ayumi can do better. Nonetheless, this single is worth a listen if you are an Ayumi Hamasaki fan. I would not recommend buying glitter/fated if you are new to Ayu, wait for her next single or buy her end-of-the-year album.Did you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

May 2, 2007 A different AyuThis album is unique. It shows that Ayu is an artist that is constantly changing her music style. I, for one, think that 'Secret' is so-so. There are too many rock tracks on it and not enough of other types of music. I still enjoy her music and definitely her fashion taste, but she needs more of a variation on her next cd. I'm still a fan of Ayumi, but i am a little disappointed in 'Secret'--especially since her singles for the album her sooooooooooooooo awesome. As a person who has never heard of Ayu and wanting to buy one of her cds, I would recommend 'Rainbow', 'Memorial Address', or '(miss) understood' as a starter. Did you find this review helpful? March 15, 2006 Iffy...
First of all, I want 2 say that I support S.H.E. w/ all my heart-they're 1 of my all-time fav groups in Asia. :) This album is not of their best qualities. I like tracks 1,2,5,& 6 the best & the others somewhat less. The tracks r ok, there's just somethin' that is left 2 b desired. What cd I do recommend is Together Best Collection, it's as true as the title states. But I continue 2 b a huge fan & hope 4 better albums 2 come in the future! Go S.H.E.!!
