Perhaps more aptly described by its original English title of “Money , Sex and Love” , the is a gripping drama about the seductive Judy , a woman with three men in her life a rich husband , a sexy playboy , and a sensitive intellectual . Further complicating matters is the fact that Judy’s two lovers are brothers . As far-fetched as the plot might seem , it becomes instantly believable due to the knockout beauty of Judy , played by Shaw Brothers’ gift to cinema , Jenny Hu.

Marred by a confused script Customer Review Rated Bad 6 - 6 out of 10
In "Summer Heat", younger brother Yang Fan sees Jenny Hu leaving a restaurant and immediately is smitten by her beauty. Older brother Chin Han also admires her looks, but he is a playboy who sees women as nothing more than playthings.

Yang Fan subsequently strikes up a friendship with Jenny that quickly becomes serious. Chin Han seems jealous that his younger brother has such a lovely girlfriend. Later Chin Han and his friends see Jenny at a restaurant with an older man. Chin Han learns that the older man is her Chinese-American husband, who frequently is away on business trips. Chin Han demands that Jenny have sex with him or else he will tell his brother about her marriage.

The situation quickly turns combustible and culminates in an explosive ending. This central core of the story is interesting enough, but the film wastes too much time on irrelevant scenes of young people acting wild and irresponsible. And, while Jenny Hu does a terrific job of playing her complicated role, the script provides no logical reason for why she feels anything other than revulsion for the loathesome character played by Chin Han. Moreover, the script also leaves the viewer with no rational explanation for Chin Han's behavior.

In the end, the filmmakers don't seem to have a good grasp of human nature. Consequently, the characters act in ways that seem strange, damaging the credibility of the story. Jenny Hu fans will want to see this one, but others will be unconvinced.

A Heated Summer Affair Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
Jenny Hu, my all time favourite plays a stunning seductive woman, Judy,to the T!

Not only is she married to a rich old man, she later keeps two lovers, who are brothers played by Chin Han and Yang Fan. The older flirtatious brother Chin Han did take a liking to her at the beginning but the younger intellectual brother , Yang Fan was smitten with her right from the start.

Chin Han later also falls irrevocably in love with Judy and refuses to let her go even though she is supposedly his brother's girlfriend. The more street-wise Chin Han knew right from the start that Judy is not as simple as she seems. Yang Fan on the other hand thinks Judy is just a decent innocent girl whom he dearly loves.

When Yang Fan discovers that Judy has been cheating on him and is also his brother's lover, he could not take it, went bersek and ' accidentally ' kills them. How he did it is for you to find out in this movie that is worth watching.
