Summer Scent is the third part in the hugely popular "Four Seasons Series", following on A Tale of Autumn and Winter Sonata. It portrays a beautifully bittersweet love story set against a lush seasonal backdrop.
The gorgeous Son Yae Jin (A Moment To Remember, April Snow) stars as Hye Won, a young student who is forced to have a heart transplant following a critical illness. Little does she know that her new heart belonged to Un Hae, who died in a car accident and is still being mourned by her ex-boyfriend, Min Woo (Song Seung Heon, A Tale of Autumn, Law Firm).
Min Woo and Hye Won meet by chance while hiking in a forest, and there is an instant connection between them. Min Woo sees many characteristics of his first love within this young woman, and Hye Won feels her heart beat uncontrollably in his presence. The couple subsequently find themselves working together and slowly their attraction begins to develop, but their growing love for each other will not go unhindered. Hye Won's fiance Jung Jae and his sister Jun Ah who has had feelings for Min Woo since they met at university stand in their way of true happiness. What will happen when the truth is revealed about Hye Won's donor? Is this true love or just a shadow of Un Hae?

definitely a favorite

i loved this drama series..it's my second favorite season series after Winter Sonata. I didn't think it was slow at all. the director just wanted his audience to be able to enjoy the scenery. if the series is rushed, it takes away from the overall effect. the story was beautiful and full of romance. if people think it's far-fetched, so what? when i sit down to watch something, i don't want to watch something stressful...i want to watch something that will take away my worries and make me feel happy. and that's just what this drama did. i liked how the main characters were rarely apart..it'd always tear me apart whenever Yujin and Joon Sang would get separated (which was quite often in the story!!). this series had many lovely moments shared by the protagonists. another good thing was the music of this series. i think that's the main reason why i liked this series so much. the music was completely appropriate for the storyline and really enhanced the feelings the actors were trying to convey. all in all, i'd definitely recommend this series for everyone. |

wasn' t special.

I like the story. It was a good idea. But the cast wasn' t good for me. It' s not their acting but the traits their character becomes. The main Heroine was too fragile, and she' s always crying, everyone loves her too much to hurt her, she' s always the innocent victim... I didn't like that. The story is so slow. Nothing major happens until the late episodes. Even so it still is so slow to watch. I was so relieved when it ended. It wasn' t a bad drama, but it wasn' t special. There' s definately a lot of better dramas out there. |

At first, I wanted to buy this VCD because I wanted to see Song Seung Hun. Luckily I didn't! I like Song Seung Hun, but I have to say I didn't like him here. The story is unbelievebly slow. I wasn't very motivated to watch it, I had to cause it was rented. The actings were also very bland. I didn't like Son Ye Jin's character and Son Ye Jin herself. She's like someone who doesn't have energy to live. Although it's a beautifully done show, it lacks of story development. A show that can be done in 10 episodes or even less instead of 20 or something? It was romantic, but honestly I didn't hope that SSH's and SYJ's characters to get together in the end. I was even disappointed that they had a happy ending. It's just -SSH's and SYJ's characters blindly in love feelings and knowing they'll hurt their other partners feelings by doing so - scenes all the time, which got very boring. It's not romantic, compared to All In and Stairway To Heaven. I have to say this show is only for die hard SSH fans, not for everyone. |

Song Seung Hun & Son Yae Jin
| This drama has a great story line, however it is a bit slow and the author drag on the part that is not needed and shorten the part that is needed to expand. For example, they should expand the ending more. Min-Woo thought that Wae-Yin died already, so when they met at the end, he should of say something and they should at least have some happy moments before the movie end. Because for the entire movie, most the time they're together they had to encounter were awkwardness and guilt, they never had a true happy moments. Also I think Song Seung Hun and Son Yae Jin are great on-screen couple. They both can really act. Both of them are beautiful and very attractive. For most other k-dramas they don't really match up the lead actor and actress. I'm waiting to watch Song Seung Hun again with Son Yae Jin. |

Good but Slow
| This was a beautiully done movie. However, it was slow and very long. I loved it but I didn't like it as much as "All In". I was good but I don't know if I could watch it again. |
