one of the best singles of 2004.
| first off, PUFFY+andy sturmer='s some of the best music ever to enter your ears. and naturally, "sunrise" does not fail to get those toes tapping and mouths grinning. while the duo have been becoming more and more rock with every song they release, "sunrise" still has the pop simplicity that makes the song listenable over and over again. while 2004 was a fairly lack-luster year for the world music scene, not just those who are fans of japanese music, PUFFY have proved once again why they continue to be not only a force to reckoned with, but one of the best musical duos of modern music. |

Sunrise
| After a 1 year absence from the Japanese music scene, Sunrise marks the triumphant return for girl duo Puffy. For listeners new to addictive tunes of Tokyoite Ami and Osaka native Yumi, the two different tracks make for a fitting introduction to their unique music style. For previous fans, this is vintage Puffy at their best - 'Sunrise' a catchy, upbeat melody while 'Umei' is a cool rock track comparable to past hits 'Jet Keisatsu' or even their debut 'Asia No Junshin'. This is a welcome addition to your Puffy collection, or a thrilling foreword to Japan's coolest girl group. A must have! |
