태완의 이번 데뷔 앨범은 한국의 흑인 음악 뮤지션들과 마니아들 사이에서 발표 시기에 관심이 모아졌다. 정식 활동은 하지 않았지만 클럽 공연에서 보여준 폭발적인 가창력과 진한 블랙 소울 필, 다른 유명 가수들의 음반에 작곡 피쳐링 등 활발한 도우미 활동을 통해 주목을 받아왔기 때문. 이 당시 활동 네임인 C-Luv는 한국의 정통 흑인 음악팬들 사이에서 이미 널리 알려진 이름이다.

'남자 윤미래' '블루블랙 보이스' '블랙싱어송라이터'
태완을 평가하는 말들이다. '남자 윤미래'라는 닉네임은 한국 최고의 흑인음악 뮤지션 윤미래처럼 노래와 랩 모두에서 뛰어난 기량을 갖추고 있기 때문. 실제로 태완은 이효리, 이민우, 조PD, 별, 이수영, 주석, 이현도, 렉시, 거미, 휘성 등의 음반에 보컬 피쳐링이나 듀엣은 물론 랩으로도 피쳐링에 참여했고 각종 클럽 공연을 통해 보컬과 랩 모두에서 흑인음악 팬들로부터 높은 점수를 받아왔다.

'블루블랙 보이스'는 정통 흑인 음악의 감수성(블랙)이 제대로 묻어나면서도 서정적이고 세련된(블루) 그의 보이스 컬러에 대한 평가다. '블랙싱어송라이터'는 한국흑인음악계에 작곡과 보컬을 병행하는 태완 같은 경우가 드물어 생긴 별명이다. 태완은 그저 '노래 잘하는 신인'이 아니다. 이미 휘성(1집Feel the Night, 2집 Intro, 3집 Clubbin', 4집 morning) 거미(1집 Phone call) 마스터우(1집 It's time) 등 동료 가수들의 음반에 10여 곡을 제공한 프로 작곡가이기도 하다. 자신의 앨범을 위해서는 지난 4년간 500여곡을 작곡해 놓았다. 음반 30장을 만들 수 있는 분량이다. 이중 이번 앨범에는 타이틀곡 `나란 사람`을 비롯, 수록곡 16곡 중 13곡의 자작곡을 실었다.

I absolutely adore this album. A Love Confession is a well rounded R&B album with songs ranging from soulful and soothing slow jams (such as Happiness, Crazy Luv, Candle Nights, Luv Is Real, and tracks 3 & 9 ) to upbeat grooves that make u wanna get it crunk and dance (Watch Out, My Shorty, and track 14). There's also a couple those happy, feel good tracks like Step by Step (happy) and Sweety (feel 'real' good). The title track Person Like Me (track 4) is one of the slow jams and I was addicted to it on the first listen of the first note; it's that good. Every song here brings something good to the table. I guess I love this album so much because every song is my style of music. I know people have different taste when it comes to their favorite style of music and every R&B song doesn't sound the same. If you like American groups like Blackstreet, 112, and Jagged Edge you'll love this album. Tae Wan has a lovely light, raspy voices and he can definitely hit those powerful notes when he needs to. I think his voice is perfect for the type of R&B he sings. I'm really looking forward to more music from him. I highly recommend A Love Confession to K-R&B lovers everywhere.

Excellent Korean R&B Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I loved all the songs in this album especially tracks 3 and 4. There is a mixture of slow and fast tempo R&B songs. If you are a fan of R&B, this is a must buy. Tae Wan has a great voice and its one of those albums where you can listen to it over and over again without skipping any of the songs. Highly recommended!

Tae Wan is so talented!! I love his tracks "Shorty" and "Sweety". I'm always thumbin them in my car everytime I go out. All of his songs are the type that get stuck in your head and make you wanna listen to them again and again. They never get old!

I have yet to hear his album, but I know one of his songs called "Uh Jjuh Dah" or (How Did This Happen), and I really like that song. I discovered it while listening to the soundtrack for A Love to Kill. I liked it very much and I am pleased to see that he has put it on this album. I will definitely be purhasing this album so that I can further check him out... That's for sure. Tae Wan, Tae Wan... Anyway, yeah. Is he one of the newer artists? Well nonetheless, he has a great voice and he even appears to look pretty cool. I hope the album doesn't disappoint me. Anyway, from the other reviews, it's looking pretty good to me, so I am going to give Tae Wan a shot!!! Go Tae Wan!!

Tae Wan really is a very talented artist he has a great voice and every song on this album is good! It's very impressive and I (and other fans) would highly reccommend it.
The songs are so well composed.

Give it a try you'll love it!
