Thumbs up, Taki!
| Somehow I fall in love with Taki in every movie he stages. He was a great inspiration in his box office hit "Innocent Witch'which I lost counts of how many times I have watched it. His character portrayal in movies and dramas has a way of getting to you in ways that make you want to buy another of his movie. Wordy in my description but honest in my expression. I always feel that most Japanese movies and dramas are meant for more matured audience who may have to read between the lines at times. Can understand that line of reasoning cos' Japan is world no. 2, a more advanced country with different experiences thrown into the lives of the people with the passage of time. Anyway back to the movie, I really pick up a lot of Japanese words through my watch. Time-consuming but worth my efforts put in. Keep it up! Taki! You will always be liked by many! |

another star vehicle for takizawa

A heart rending story of penance of a teenage boy for his mother. Tells the story of the lead, played by Takizawa, finding out the truth about his mother's death with the help of his girlfriend and a lady lawyer. Takizawa as usual puts on great acting which reflects a maturity far beyond his age. And again, his chemistry seems to be better with older women than the younger ones (where in the series, you actually feel more for his relationship with his lawyer than his girlfriend). Highly recommended. Not your usual romantic fare but a more thought-provoking series set upon a legal and medical backdrop. The series also highlights the strength of family bond, friendship, trust and regrets. |
