Namco brings their long-running Tales of... RPG series to the Nintendo DS with the hotly anticipated Tales of the Tempest. The story itself concerns a 15 year-old boy named Caius, who embarks on a journey to find his true parents after the discovery that his stepfather is a member of a beast race. Like the previous games Tales of Destiny and Tales of Legendia, this epic RPG combines a 3-D world map and 2-D battle sequences involving plenty of button-mashing and AI-controlled companions. DS-specific functions are included too, including stylus support and perhaps even some wireless play. Character designs are provided by original designer Mutsumi Inomata, and Misono of popular J-pop group Day After Tomorrow provides the theme song.
