YesAsia Editorial Description

The fabled King of Iron Fist Tournament is back - but this time, it's in an all new format! Tekken: Dark Resurrection, the latest installment of the runaway arcade smash, finally makes its way to the PlayStation Portable to the delight of Tekken fans everywhere! Upgrading the content of Tekken 5, Dark Resurrection adds a host of new features to this eagerly anticipated remixed edition. Over thirty-five stages are available, including brand-spankin' new locales and a revamped forest stage that will prove eerily familiar to most Tekken 3 fans.

But purists need not fear - all of the stages previously featured in Tekken 5 are available here as well, both in revamped and original versions (the latter must be unlocked) This time around, your favorite Tekken characters are fully customizable, with new animations, redone color pallettes, and brand new fighting moves to boot! And perhaps best of all, in addition to the characters already available in Tekken 5, the game boasts a couple of new characters - a human weapon known as Sergei Dragunov from the frozen tundra, and a dancing queen named Lili from Monaco - and also brings back an old favorite, Armor King! What other secrets await fans of Tekken 5? Look no further than Dark Resurrection, a welcome update that revitalizes a game that is already widely considered to be a superior installment in the long-running Tekken franchise!

Dark Resurrection features over 30 characters, including Dragonuv and Lili, the two new characters that were added for the Dark Resurrection arcade update. Also making the trip over from the arcade are new stages, themselves based off the original Tekken 5 stages, but with climate and time effects as well as new background objects, totalling 19 stages. Namco has a few additions exclusively for the PSP version as well. Look forward to new game modes, including time attack, practice and mini games, while ad-Hoc wireless play allows for multplayer bouts. Simply great! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I got this game a few days ago and I've been playing it non-stop. The graphics are superb, the sound is great (even on speakers), there are subtitles to what the characters say and there is next to no load time. This is now my favourite game. I've been looking forward to getting it for months. I'm really impressed with it, but the PSP is my first video game so I haven't played Tekken on PS2.

The game is much harder than Bleach 3 (which I also have) and the graphics are way way better. The cinematics are top notch too. Some techniques are quite hard to execute since you have to press buttons at the same time which aren't that close together, but I guess it's the same on the PS2.

In case anyone was wondering, this game does not come with the extra D-pad thingy that's included with some versions.

I'm glad I waited for the US version to get the subtitles, but the Japanese version of the game would definitely be playable even if you don't know Japanese since the story mode is such a small part of the game.

I don't hesitate one second to give this game 10/10 ^_^
