March 14, 2007 the first asian cd i boughthello... after writing a review for guang liang's 1996-2006 the greatest hits collection, i decided to write a quickie review for the yue ding album...
the songs on the second cd of yue ding, the one with 14 tracks, are all instrumental... you have been warned... when i bought this album at the store, the salesperson assured me that both cds are not instrumental... so i was very disappointed when i found out that this is not the case... the greatest hits ablum, on the other hand, are all songs- they are not music pieces... in terms of price, i admit it is very expensive...i bought it for the same price at some local store, so i can't really suggest any places that might sell this cd for cheaper.... right now i'm actually listening to it, and i'm finding it very hard to concentrate.... it's a little poppier than i remembered the songs to be and his voice is incredibly cute...(not necessarily in a good way)... anyways... my advice... if you like guang liang, buy his greatest hits collection... it's much more worth your money... ps... i love the packaging... beautiful glossy cover... beautiful glossy booklet which includes page long well photographed pictures of guang liang... lyrics for the first cd included

Vibe Vol. 3 - Re-Feel
March 10, 2007 could have been a lot betterokay... i'm listening to this album for the second time right now so i can give it a half decent review... i have to agree with sky... i was really looking forward to a blow your mind away cd, but i'm actually quite disappointed... i don't know any korean to save my life, but it sounds like they keep repeating the same phrases over and over again...this is probably the thing that i have the most problem with...that being said, the title song is absolutely beautiful...however, the sixth track sounds like a song sung during a drinking session in the bar... i'm sure it's a matter of taste; i just don't like it... vocally they're really talented... some consider them the best of the best... i personally think that they're awesome... that's why i bought their album in the first place... but in terms of expectation, i didn't think that they lived up to their name... anyways, i hope that you can make sense of this extremely random review.... and although i want to give them a 2 out of 10, i can't... they're vocals are just too good... so i'm giving them 7 1/2 /10 Did you find this review helpful? Kong Leung 1996-2006 The Greatest Hits (2CD)
March 10, 2007 loving itif you like soft pop music- the kind that you can fall asleep to- accompanied with amazing piano pieces and simple sweet lyrics, then you'll probably fall in love with this album... in addition to soothing songs, it actually does come with some that has more beat...so it's safe to say that there's a nice blend (although the selection leans towards the soft).... it's a little pricey being twenty dollars and all but if you think about it includes 28 songs and some of them are pretty big hits too... i personally can't believe that he included tong hua in this collection... so yea...i think it's definitely worth the money... the packaging is not as impressive as the yue ding album, but it's still very good... the prints on the cds are absolutely lovely...the booklet has a few interesting pictures but they're printed on thick paper rather then the glossy material... so that's a downer... but on the otherhand, all the lyrics are included in this ablum, which must be very useful for people who can read chinese- too bad i can't...(i think there's a blend of traditional and simplified characters... but i'm not 100% sure)....as of now i only own two chinese cds... this one and guang liang's yue ding... (i also must admit that i have a david tao one on order)... in my opinion, guang liang is really really good at what he does... and that is providing great music, not only in vocally but also in terms of lyrics, meaning, accompaniment... the little that i can make of his lyrics, i love... it's simple, and beautiful... the songs make me feel fuzzy and warm inside... my sister says he has a touch of nasal-ness... this may pose a problem for some people, so i advise everyone to sample his music first...if you like it, then please do support original music and buy the album... honestly, aside from the song yue ding, this collection basically has everything...i really want to drive home point that you should look out for the simplicity in his music and the really soothing piano pieces... anyways, i hope that this review was helpful...bye Did you find this review helpful? Shinhwa vol.7 - Brand New
February 8, 2007 this use to be a personal favei've been meaning to write a review on this particular album for a freakin long time... it was one of the first things i bought from yesasia... i remember when i got this album, i loved it to absolute death... again, i love the selection of music...it has some nice upbeat beats... very pop and very dance... my favourite songs include brand new, oh, angel, time machine, my everything, liar and 2gether 4ever...the version that i bought comes with a beautiful picture booklet of our gorgeous shinhwa oppas..
now for the downside... i made the terrible mistake of buying almost all of their albums within 1-2 months... (i tend to really support the artists that i love)... unfortunately, this left me with pop music overload and a huge whole in my wallet... on top of that... i've kinda fallen out of love with shinhwa... don't hate me...well to be more precise...i still love them to death, but their music tends to be too safe, and very pop. there's nothing superbly groundbreaking about their music... albeit they do have talents, but so do many many other Korean bands.. and singers... thus my advice to you would be this: if you want to support shinhwa by all means do...at the same time however, you should keep your options open... I give this cd 8/10 glowing stars since after all I am still a fan girl and I do think that this is one of their best efforts along with their eighth album

January 15, 2007 like walking into a dreami was convinced of park hyoshin's singing talent by reading reviews such as these. after getting a copy of this album for myself, which apparently is a compilation of his earlier greatest hits, i truly understand why people love him so much. his voice is so soothing; it's dreamy, deep and soulful. on top of that, it's also very welcoming. even though personally i don't know any korean, i feel like he's trying to invite me into his world. it's as if he's expressing his soul through his voice which i think is amazing, and also a very hard thing to do. seriously, when i close my eyes, his voice takes me to another world. and so for these reasons, plus many others, i highly recommend his album.
in terms of schematics...
the first song may shock you. it certainly shocked me...it's rappish hip-hop... i don't have anything against hip-hop but in my opinion it did not go well with the rest of his songs and thus should not have been included at all... however all the other songs more than made up for it... (maybe except, 'my love' i'm not too crazy about song either)...so yea
the packaging is standard. nothing too special
when i play the cd on media player, the album is labeled under the genre hiphop/rap which is totally wrong... for the most part, this is soft pop ballad(y) album
it comes with a few instrumental piece at the end, which is never a problem with me
well that's all

January 3, 2007 ok but definitely not greati bought this photo album when it was on sale for about 50 USD. in terms of the actual quality of the photo album it's definitely worth the 50 dollars; however, the pictures themselves are not great. i don't know what happen during the photoshoot but hyesung, our gorgeous ballad prince, appears to be half dead... his eyes are swollen as if he hasn't slept for days, and yet regrettably the photographers didn't use any digital programs to fix up the photos...the rest of the guys look decent though some of andy's pics are questionable...eric naturally shone
(i don't know how he does it, he just looks great)
the actual packaging is very impressive since the album is as big as a textbook (like i've said before, the quality is not bad)
the dvds DO NOT come with subtitles... so they're pretty much of no use to me...a large part of the dvds is just them talking... also, maybe it's just my own dvd player, but the sound for the intro is very poor, you know for the selection menu
the best part of the dvds are the mini concerts
all in all i would probably not recommend this product for non korean speakers especially since the price has gone upDid you find this review helpful? Yes (Report This) -

"O", get me some, phantom, and balloons are all very upbeat... mid-tempo would include you're my miracle and hey girl... and the rest are pretty soft... i really like the song get me some... it's sounds so freaking hilarious since i don't know korean... and listening to them say "i wanna get me some of that" is just funny Did you find this review helpful? Shinhwa - Winter Story 2004-05
November 26, 2006 love it but...ok... first off.. this is an excellent cd... it has some really really awesome beats... it puts me in a great mood... you should expect fast pace music... the solo performances are wonderful... all in all i would definitely recommend this album.. personally, i use it to work out (i'm getting tired of listening to album 7 over and over again)... besides it's shinhwa what's there not to like...
now the only reason i didn't give this cd full marks is because it came in terrible condition... it looked like a dog chewed off the side of the album case... when i opened the shrink wrap... the whole thing fell apart... i know i bought this item on clearance... but yesasia should have notified me that it was damaged... i would not have bought it had i known this fact
