Teresa Teng bid us farewell forever on 8 May 1995. She had remained popular in Chinese communities worldwide for over two decades since the 70s. In memory of this legendary singer, Universal Music releases the Teresa Teng Collection, titled "Lover in Heaven" in Chinese, on 8 May 2005 in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and other places in Asia simultaneously, exactly 10 years after her departure. The collection contains 3 CDs comprising 51 classics by Teresa Teng, and also one karaoke DVD with 20 tracks.

The song "The Love I Need Tonight" and "Helpless" are released for the first time. The Cantonese version of "Helpless" is sung by Paula Tsui Siu Fung and the Mandarin version by Teresa is only discovered recently by accident. The present Teresa Teng Collection also gathers some unforgettable tunes which has transgressed geographical boundaries to become the favorite songs of Chinese people worldwide, such as "The Moon Represents My Heart", "Stories in a Small Town", "Sweetness", etc.

Teresa is the ultimate goddess in singing. She's the queen! This collection really brings out some of the best songs she EVER sang. The songs that I really prefer in this album are "Disc 1: Track 12: When Will You Come Back", "Disc 1: Track 9: The Moon Represents My Heart", "Disc 1: Track 16: Sweetie", "Disc 3: Track 9: Sea Rhythm" and "Disc 2: Track 10: Goodbye My Love". It even includes two never before released songs: "Disc 1: Track 1: Helpless" and "Disc 1: Track 2: The Love I Need Tonight". I hope Teresa is enjoying her other life in heaven. R.I.P. Teresa.

The problem with these compilation CD's is that you usually get the same songs over and over again. It's no different here but for $17.99, you get a decent selection of some of Teresa's music. The problem is that Teresa has perhaps over 100 good songs!

The unreleased song "Helpless" is a real good song. Let's hope there are more "unreleased" songs and concerts that will appear soon including some of her LIFE albums in CD!

a gem for her fans. it is a very touching song and very beautifully sung, during her days when her voice is at her peak, it is of course still worth collecting if you have other collections of hers, we support her therefore we buy her albums. most of her songs are evergreen, we can listen to them over and over again. just the emotions and tears collected in hearing this song is worth buying the album.

This compilation is good for people who start to appreciate Teresa Teng's music. Perhaps the record company has just digged up an old, previously-unreleased track of hers, and waited for this special date for releasing this. What's more, the DVD is great too.

Strictly for Die-hards Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
This collection with 1(or 2 ?)never before released songs is definitely to earn money from her die-hard fans, I will not buy it !!

The collections are not her best. Most of her better Mandarin songs are not in this collection set.

I wonder how many more songs are her family or Universal keeping. Only fools will believe that studio executives "stumble" upon them.
