July 2, 2009 Great solo debut Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
When I heard of that Yaguchi Mari, or 'Mari Yaguchi' was going to release a solo debut, feelings of happiness and excitement immediately reached me, but not without questions. Could Yaguchi reach the quality of her past group and solo cover performances with her own single? Would Yaguchi be a great artist on her own, as she had been in the past with several groups?

She succeeded. Seishun Boku is a great single of high quality. Yaguchi easily lives up to her singing performances of the past and the song itself is both catchy and features great instrumentals and as previously mentioned great vocals.

On the same single, Air Band covers the song with a slightly alternate version (Seishun Ore), which is a nice bonus, however not as impressive as the original song sung by Yaguchi.

The single also comes with instrumental versions of both Yaguchi's and Air Band's performances, something that is appreciated. A special with this single is that a DVD with the PVs of both Yaguchi's and Air Band's performances is included, and although they are simple and clean videos, they are very much satisfactory and entertaining to watch.

Additionally, the cover of the single and the overall CD layout is very good, fits the music nearly perfectly.

Overall, this is definitely a successful debut single for Yaguchi, a must-buy for any Yaguchi Mari fan and a strongly recommended buy for fans of Japanese rock and pop music.

October 10, 2008 Near Perfection Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
From the west to the east, I have heard a countless amount of different music from a countless amount of cultures. Mainstream, less well known, amature, I've heard it from all around the world. The cover of an already good song; TM Network's Get Wild by Nami Tamaki made me shiver when I heard it.

My first impression was that it was certainly very good, an extremely powerful mix of amazing vocals, unique instrumentals with a "sentimental"-like melody. After listening to this for almost half a thousand times, I realize that this is an amazing harmony between bass and treble coupled with previously mentioned qualities and that makes this song in my opinion one of the best throughout history.

On this single you also find a nice DX Remix of Get Wild with some impressive bass in it, a Supernova remix of the Shining Star hit with a good beat as well as the calmer CASTAWAY song which also features some impressive vocals and melody.

The Get Wild song alone makes this single worth buying, the rest is just a little bonus next to the masterpiece that is Nami Tamaki's Get Wild.
