The Angry Guest (Hong Kong Version) DVD Region 3

In the 1971 Shaw Brothers production Duel of Fists, two long-lost brothers played by Di Lung and David Keung finally meet up in Thailand, only to find themselves targeted by local gangsters after Wen Lieh (Ti Lung) beats their man in a kickboxing match. Legendary filmmaker Zhang Che (a.k.a. Chang Cheh) helms the 1972 sequel entitled The Angry Guest, which picks up with the brothers once again ruffling the feathers of the criminal element, this time in the form of a Yakuza crime lord named Yamaguchi (played by the director himself!). It seems Yamaguchi wants Wen Lieh and Fan Ke (David Keung) to oversee his illegal businesses in Thailand. The brothers aren't interested, so the vicious mobster retaliates by murdering their mother and kidnapping Wen Lieh's beautiful girlfriend (Jing Li)! Talk about hostile negotiations!

From that point forward, the heroes commence with a globetrotting adventure in which they head to Japan to save Wen Lieh's girl. They succeed in their quest and return to Hong Kong, but it's not over for Yamaguchi. He sends a bunch of thugs to take care of Wen Lieh and Fan Ke, including one played by muscleman Bolo Yeung, best known for his villainous roles in Enter the Dragon and Bloodsport. If that guy wasn't bad enough, Yamaguchi even sends his top fighter Katsu to even the score. Played by legendary martial artist Kurada Honshou (a.k.a. Yasuaki Kurata), who appeared in such films as Heroes of the East and Fist of Legend, Katsu is definitely a formidable antagonist for our heroes! In the thrilling conclusion, Katsu defeats all of Wen Lieh's students before taking on the brothers all by himself! With a climactic battle that begs to be seen, The Angry Guest is one sequel that just might top the original!
