Five years later, she is now a single mother raising a daughter on her own. On the other side of the world, Yuan Hao's sister Yuan Zhe (Pace Wu) has long been in love with Xiang Ning, but she strikes up a relationship with an overseas student (David Chen) while she's in New York and becomes pregnant. In the end, she leaves him without a word. How will these two young single mothers from very different backgrounds cope with the challenges of love, work, and family?

左亞夫與毛家敏找了冬冬一夜，雖然心裡不想承認冬冬會在袁喆那裡，還是決定去看一下，尚寧接袁瀚生回袁喆的住處，左亞夫也發現冬冬就在袁喆家，左亞夫氣不過帶警察來鬧場，讓袁瀚生知道冬冬就是袁喆的兒子，袁喆也告訴袁瀚生當初是為了刺激尚寧才這麼做的。
尚寧幫袁瀚生還老花眼鏡給高苓，卻碰到了尚羽，兩兄弟把事情說開化解了心結，尚寧只希望尚羽不要再躲著他，兩人擁抱；尚寧發現浩瀚造鎮水土報告不符，梁亦誠要尚寧付違約金離開祖謨，梁亦誠想找袁喆幫忙，尚寧要梁亦誠不要告訴袁喆；而富豪出高價找袁喆到國外幫他的古堡作設計，袁喆不捨尚寧與冬冬需要時間考慮。
左亞夫帶著冬冬向袁喆表白要破鏡重圓，袁喆不肯心裡只掛念著冬冬，左亞夫送袁喆回家，看到尚寧在等袁喆又發火，左亞夫說不同意就在也不要見冬冬，把冬冬帶走袁喆難過：尚寧想好要蓋一間房子給袁喆父女，不經意流露出對袁喆的在乎，祖謨老闆不在意建築安全尚寧卻被簽約綁住而氣憤不已，袁喆察覺到。

尚寧與尚羽團圓聚餐，高苓說他求婚的對象是尚寧，尚寧知道尚羽喜歡高苓發脾氣要高苓別那麼傻；尚羽向高苓表白要照顧他一輩子，高苓不知所措躲起來，高苓之後發現尚羽不見，留下一封信和隨身碟，發現隨身碟裡是袁浩感動哭泣，隨身碟裡除了有袁浩對高苓滿滿的愛，也發現尚寧其實心裡一直愛著袁喆的；尚寧收到尚羽回墾丁的信，知道袁浩是為了救他而死他也原諒袁家。
