Nothing less than a hellish force of nature, the cold and demanding Miranda runs the fashion magazine with an iron hand and sends Andy on an endless stream of impossible errands. Meanwhile, Andy's plain Jane fashion sense clashes soundly with the catty, designer-fashion office environment. Determined to not back down, she works hard to learn the trade and please the boss. Soon Andy finds both her wardrobe and her lifestyle being slowly transformed by her surroundings, leading to a fall-out with her long-time boyfriend (Adrian Grenier of Entourage).

a colourful and entertaining movie, though it was a bit too predictable. the movie was well acted with a great cast. meryl streep is truly the star of the show.
