Broadcast in January of 2002, The Dream Of Sunshine Love stars two of Chungmuro's top exports - Ryu Si Won (Beautiful Days, Wedding) and Kim So Yeon (Fireworks, Yesterday) - in an inspiring melodrama about a small-town girl who finds success as a home shopping host. Contrary to her stylish, ice-queen character in All About Eve, Kim plays a plucky, down-to-earth go-getter who after giving up her college education moves to the big city in search of her dreams. Playing her love interest is the gentle-spirited Ryu who portrays a top-notch lawyer. The Dream Of Sunshine Love not only served as guilty pleasure for the many who occasionally catch themselves making impulse purchases through late-night infomercials but also generated huge interest in the profession.

Frugal and hard-working Yeon Woo (Kim So Yeon) makes ends meet working in fisheries in the small town of Sokcho. Her life makes a dramatic turn when Dong Seok (Ryu Si Won), an in-house lawyer for a large home shopping corporation, travels down to her hometown to perform some damage control regarding litigation filed against the company by Sokcho's fishery union. His negotiation with the local union soon turns into a confrontational brawl, and Dong Seok, out of fit, jumps into the water. It is Yeon Woo who saves him and takes him to her house for a change of clothes. Before leaving, Dong Seok offers to return her favor when she visits Seoul.
