YesAsia Editorial Description
The Pang brothers are going to bring you into their ghostly world again in the sequel to The Eye and The Eye 2. Although they will amuse you with some humorous elements amazingly well blended into this thriller, the spookiness of the 10 extraordinary ways to meet ghosts will perhaps scare you to death! The Eye 10 features Taiwan's charming prince Wilson Chen from Blue Gate Crossing, Hong Kong singer Isabella Leong who makes her debut on the silver screen, and Kate Yeung who is nominated for the Best Supporting Actress for 20 30 40. This group of rising young idols will share with you their most horrible and eerie experience - if you dare to watch The Eye 10.
Most people are afraid of seeing ghosts. But there are always people who, in proving their exceptional courage or in search of new excitements, attempt to communicate with all sorts of spirits. A comic teaches a game derived from 10 ways to meet the supernatural beings according to Thai legends. Ignoring the warnings on the first page, a group of youngsters decides to play this fatal game, without knowing that they may never be able to end it…

OK
|
Its a different flick from the original. I have seen this film a long time ago but maybe because i have not seen THE EYE yet, i was not able to the two together... but anyway, its an entirely different movie. I guess, it's not bad... sad ending though. |

It's okay.
| This movie is okay. It's scary and funny. It has a interesting storyline. 10 ways to encounter a ghost...my favorite one that they did was THE LATE DINNER....I won't spoil it but it was awesome |

Nothing Like The Original
| This movie has little of the mood of dread that the first Eye had. The acting isn't as good either, although the girls are good at making effective pained expressions whenever a ghost is near. There are a few very interesting settings, most notably the sterile hallways of the housing block (like in the original) and a passable attempt to depict an alternate universe of ghosts. The DTS surround sound is very good, and the film uses the rear channels well. Overall, this is an entertaining movie, with lots of twists and turns, but as others have said, it's more of a comedy than a horror movie. The ending is supposed to be sad and romantic, but after all the goofiness, it doesn't have much of an impact. There are LOTS of references to teen culture, a cast of pretty girl and pretty boy Hong Kong kid actors, and jokey references back to the first Eye. Normally, I hate that sort of thing, but the lighthearted spirit of the film carries it. This one is worth the price. |

Read the reviews!
| This movie is overall not good. Why? Because if you saw and liked the first two, which I did, then you are expecting The Eye 10 to be just as good if not better. BUT - it is neither as good, nor better. This installment in the "Eye" series is - unlike the first two, a COMEDY, NOT a HORROR. It is still a fairly well made, good looking movie, but it is DUMB. It's a teeny-bopper comedy. It's an embarrassment to the first two films. |
