We Love BoA Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
This is another awesome album from BoA, the jpop/kpop queen!

I love all the tracks on this album. When I bought it, though, I didn't have very high hopes for it. Fortunately for me, I was happily surprised at how impressive it is. My favorite tracks are "AGGRESSIVE", "Sweet Impact", "BRAVE", and "Beautiful Flowers". I also like the pictures of BoA in it. She looks really cute in them~

All of BoA's fans are going to enjoy this success!

Great album! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
BoA is one of the best singers in the world!

When I first listened to this album, I was impressed! The songs aren't that special but they seemed to have 'connections' with me, I don't know how to explain but it was a great feeling!
But to be honest, here, BoA couln't really show her whole talent, her great vocal skills like she did in her previous albums like 'LOVE & HONESTY'. I would wish for more powerful songs on this album.

There are so many videos on the 2 DVDs. I really enjoyed it watching them. Unfortunately the Japanese CD+2DVDs version was only available for a short time but I made it to buy this edition right on time.

All in all, THE FACE is a great album and you should buy it if you're a real BoA fan!

Excellent! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
There is not one song in in this album I don't enjoy. I'm a very well rounded person, I listen to almost any type of music(from soft ballads/R&B to strong beats such as Pop/Trance etc).
This album has both gentle and strong beats. If there is one song i'd recommend from this new album, not counting the ones from previous singles, I'd recommend Brave. It's one of the few new songs in this album. Definnetly worth hearing. The other songs are good, and her songs from previous singles are a hit to listen to too!
The DVD is great! You know BoA and her powerful performances right? Those powerful dance steps, and excellent vocals. It's just stunning and ENTERTAINING! You get to see that on this dvd! She's gotta be one of the most powerful entertainer out there, GLOBALLY! No lies.
This album/dvd is a must get for fans of BoA, and a deffinet try for those who arn't yet.

Well... Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
When I got this, I wasnt expecting much, I havent been a fan of BoA's new stuff.
And to me, this didnt deliver much. Aggressive is good, very very good. Dancy, which is what we should expect out of our dance queen.
Sweet Impact is great too.
i'll say that i liked this album, but I dont listen to it as much as... say, Girls On Top, or My Name. Is this the "new style" that people are talking about? I guess it took me awhile to not like it. cause if you look at Outgrow, you'll see all the bad reviews people gave her, while I thought Outgrow was nice.
Thats all this album is: nice. I listen to it when I draw, you know, just a noise so it's not quiet.

But, i gave this CD an 8 because of the atmosphere of it. Although half of the songs are crappy, when you listen to them, you can tell it's BoA, its new, different, and thats okay.

lol i'm totaly contradicting myself here.

Great Japanese Album!!! Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I actually prefer Boa's Korean songs to Japanese songs (well I like K-pop, not so much for J-pop though). But this album is amazing. The cover is really attractive with Boa doing makeup along with her beautiful dress-up. I never cared to buy a Japanese CD by Boa but this one just caught my eyes. I hesitated to buy it since I was not sure if the songs were good. Then I decided to get it and after I listened to the CD and watched both DVDs, I was very impressed and satisfied. The music is very amusing and upbeat. I especially love Aggressive, Sweet Impact, Happy Birthday, Lose Your Mind, Beautiful Flowers and Best Friend. Boa's voice seems like it has not changed for many years since she just started her singing career at the very young age 14. I love it! The DVD 1 is awesome with her latest best single videos including Sweet Impact, Lose Your Mind (my fav.), Love Letter, and Be With You, and the making of every clip with Boa's personal comments, and the progress of making the face etc. (also a special piano version of "Be With You"). DVD 2 shows parts of her latest live shows in Japan. When I watched her performing, it was very impressive and beautiful. Her voice is real and powerful, her dancing is amazing, her style is attractive... I love it!!!

I thought I would regret buying the CD + 2DVD version of this album instead of the CD only but I am very happy with it. A MUST-HAVE in Boa's collection *^.^*

"GLAMOROUS " Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
*I haven't watched the 2 DVDs yet due to reasons I can't say...so I'll rate the music for now.

BoA's 6th Original album! avex seems to be really pushing it hard in promoting her album this year. BoA also is getting herself more involved in the making of the album, as she co-arranged the song Girl In The Mirror (no not Spears' version) and wrote to Smile Again, GYAPPU ni Yarareta! , and [co-wrote] LOVE LETTER. When it's BoA's lyrics and her singing them, you can feel more of not only her singing sensation but the soul of the lyrics she sings. I'm looking forward to more of her works in the future.

This is not to say she has never took singing seriously before of course. The other songs in the album are great. As usual, she's able to sing out the words in songs and make them come alive while some can be for plain fun listening.

As for sound quality ( VERY IMPORTANT), this album was mastered once again in New York (BEST OF SOUL was also) and the quality is BETTER than the ones released as singles (Lose your mind, Love Letter, be with you, Sweet Impact and the B-sides that follows). The clarity is so much better sounding that you can hear every possible sound in the songs. Even Hey Boy, Hey Girl is remastered! It's too bad it's not included in the Korean release though due to licensing issues. GLAMOROUS

It's too bad this album had its lowest first week sales in her career, despite getting no.1 in the Oricon charts daily + weekly. Well it can be said that some buy from iTunes (since it was in first place on top 100 albums for 2 weeks straight). Oricon won't tell the success it had for real since Billboard Japan had it in top 10 longer.

This is a must get album if you're a BoA fan. Though not her best, it is still a great album! And I love the packaging with the cardboard sleeve. The booklet has lots of neat pictures of BoA but is less glossier than her previous album but is still of great quality!

Simply BoA Customer Review Rated Bad 7 - 7 out of 10
I'm so used to BoA, that I usually only want to hear her powerful songs (ex. Girls on Top, Moto...etc...) This album didn't have many songs like that, so I was a little disappointed-

However, there is no doubt that this album is what BoA does best!

The vocals are great and there's nothing wrong with the album itself. I just happen to have a different taste in the type of music she sings. For example, I liked Lady Galaxy and So Real in the Made In Twenty album.

I guess I just love when her vocals are aggressive. I think I love the korean (hip-hop) side of her more than the happy japanese sige? ^^()

But I love Lose Your Mind, Style, and Girl in the Mirror.

So all in all, another great album by BoA!

The better pick Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
BoA's new album definitely makes the "hot list" when it comes to 2008 albums. Her extremely impressive large vocal range is accompanied with her smooth tone and gorgeous backing music. The tracks in this album all show different styles and how BoA's voice can shine even in difficult situations. I was extremely impressed with "Beautiful Flowers" most of all because of the frequent changing octaves - highs and lows are crazy in this track. I'm least impressed with "Girl In The Mirror" and "Gap ni Yarareta!" however, so this album isn't completely "perfect" like her "Best Of Soul" and "Love And Honesty" albums. I do see it as an improvement from "Outgrow" and "Made In Twenty". BoA is going in a new musical direction and it's very interesting to see her development. The DVDs are good, but the PVs didn't really grab my attention until "be with you." came on. That was the best. Its originality and beauty make you love the song even more. Not to mention, the photobook was refreshing and original too. The beauty of it is just so natural. Anyway, the bonus footage on the 1'st DVD is pleasing and makes this CD+2DVDs worth the money in full. The 2'nd DVD is OK, but I would've perferred a full release of "BoA The Live X'mas" included. To release them seperately isn't really fair. Just Avex's way to rake in more money.

Oh, and an advertisement for BoA's "FACE Tour 2008" came with my CD+2DVD set. It made me only wish I could go. What a tease.

never-changing BoA! n_n-V Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
A day before I recieved this in the mail, I watched "The History Of BoA" 2DVDs!! Then, on the day I got this CD+2DVDs, I sat down immediately to watch! The PVs are nice, but I like "LOVE LETTER" and "be with you." most of all. The best part about it was the special footage ONLY on the CD+2DVD version!!!! It was a bunch of PV making of footage and behind-the-scenes in the recording studio as well as a "be with you." special piano version performance!! It's so fun to see BoA's silly personality and you know...she's always had that personality. Her music style has changed, her image is more mature, but she's still the same BoA as she's always been. I'm glad I bought this edition because it's VERY special and I needed to see that she hasn't changed personally. (n.n) Also! She explains a bit about every individual song from "THE FACE". There's no subtitles so the interview probably won't mean much to non-Japanese speakers. (X.x) The 2'nd DVD is also enjoyable and gives you a taste of the "MiT" tour and "BoA The LIVE Christmas" so you can decide if you want to buy or not!! I already have the "MiT" tour 2DVDs...so that was kind of..umm...not needed for me. The other performances were very nice though!! <3 I especially love her performance with m-flo.

The jacket artwork is cute, funny, beautiful, and sweet - all of the things that BoA is! I also like the neat little slipcase! <3

I LOOOVE this album much more than "MiT" because of the many different styles. Oooooo! My favorite NEW tracks are..."AGGRESSIVE", "My Way, Your Way feat. WISE", "Happy Birthday" (it's grown on me ALOT), "BRAVE", "Style", and "Hey Boy, Hey Girl feat. SEAMO"!! My favorite SINGLE tracks are "Sweet Impact", "Diamond Heart", "Smile again", and "Beautiful Flowers"! I think all the tracks are GREAT except "Gap ni Yarareta!"...that's the only not-so-good one. =/ to me, at least.

WONDERFUL WORK, BOA!! <3 I hope this album is more successful than last year's.
