It's worth the money

This DVD may seem a bit overpriced, but it's worth every penny. Mika is an amazing live performer and she did very well on her first live tour. I really love her image from these old days. Her new gothic/punk image doesn't really appeal to me, but her old long-haired Princess of ballads image is really what attracted me to her in the first place. Rather than having good looks and no voice like most Jpop girls, Mika had both and she's very natural with her beauty and her singing. I really love her performance of STARS on this DVD. She just sings it so well now and I've come to love the song even though I disliked the original studio recording. If you're a Mika fan than this concert won't disappoint you at all. The dancers seem a little out of place because she doesn't need them. But this was her first concert so I guess her manager thought she needed them to make a good show. Truth is, she honestly needs nobody. Once this girl starts to sing, she's in her own world, and it's a very beautiful world at that. I didn't find the document part of the DVD to be too interesting. They show Mika traveling and meeting with people, but it really lacked any depth. If you want to know more about her, get her Kiseki document DVD because it's very in-depth. Once again, if you're looking for a great concert, try this DVD or her 2004 LOVE TOUR DVD. They're both awesome and I can't wait for her Let's Music Tour DVD to come out this year as well. |
