Not so Good Customer Review Rated Bad 4 - 4 out of 10
The Forbidden Kingdom is a dissapointing movie for me.I am a huge fan of Jackie Chan,Jet Li and Yuen Wo Ping and this film is not one their best work. The film is a little bit similer to the classic ' Never Ending Story' but in a martial arts kind of way and the whole feel of the story is just dull.I also should havelisten to my friends saying that do not watch it if you are a die hard fan of Jackie Chan and Jet Li.The only audience I think who are really going to enjoy it are kids and people who are not maga fans of Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

Also I am not saying that the film is one of the worst but there are few good moments in it and there are when the film starts, the fight between Chan and Li is breathtaking and there are few good fantasies moments.

Beautiful to look at.

Watch it for the double-J team-up Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Okay, so it ain't the best movie ever. But you obviously didn't watch it for the story: you watched it to see the once-in-a-life-time collaboration between two of the world's greatest martial artists! ....and damn it was worth it.

Just watch it.......because you'll prob never get to see anything else like it!

....oh, and Li Bingbing was really hot in this.....

Jackie + Jet = 100 Years of Age Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
If you add up Jackie and Jet's ages, you'll get a number pretty close to 100. That's the biggest problem with The Forbidden Kingdom. The two kung-fu kings are clearly past their prime, so this long-awaited teaming is a bit of a let down. That said, the film could have been a lot worse, especially since it's a Hollywood production produced by our heroes at The Weinstein Company. The guys who made this film have some obvious love for Hong Kong movies, and even though we have the lame American hero (Michael Arganganonano, or whatever his name is), he's not as offensive as he could have been. Jackie and Jet are okay, too. Not bad for a kid's film, which it pretty much is.

Good but not Great Customer Review Rated Bad 8 - 8 out of 10
This movie is a good movie if your pretty much only in it for the action and well Sun WuKung. I have been a Monkey King fan for a long time now it seems.... The movie starts out kind of corny and not that great.. If You get pass the start of the movie and the kid, the movie is great. Its not so much that the kid is American that gets me.. its just the way that its done, is a bit.. well tacky.

Getting to see WuKung fight and do his thing with newer type graphic effects is worth getting the movie on its own. All in all this movie has its flaws but is still fun to watch. I give this movie an 8 because its good but it could use a bit more spice.

What happened Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
Ok, let's not be surprised here, when ever you see two great martial artists teamed with a young american kid (no offense) you know it's not going to that great. It was not the worst I have seen but it was entertaining. I love Jet and Jackie so if your a fan watch it for the purpose of being entertained and not awed...

This movie was great! Customer Review Rated Bad 9 - 9 out of 10
I seen this movie and would have to say despite all the bad reviews. This movie met all my expectations. Given that Sun Wu Kong is one of the Chinese legendary tales and written and produced over several novels and movies. This was a great adaptation, though a little strange to see both Jet Li and Jackie Chan in a Sun Wu Kong movie and given Jet Li being Sun Wu Kong. I feel they could have elaborated a little more on the Sun Wu Kong storyline. To me it feels as though they tried to compile too many stories in one budget film. This should have been more of a tv series adaptation as opposed to feature length film. But the movie itself was phenomenal, I feel that the acting was great! Given that a significant portion of it was in English. I feel that the movie itself however parallels a lot of philosophy and exemplifies the Wu Gong thought process. Which was great to hear. Overall its definitely worth watching and owning, however I'm waiting for the Mandarin version. My Cantonese is only so-so.

See in Cinema Not Buy DVD Customer Review Rated Bad 1 - 1 out of 10
Well, I seen the movie. I would not say this is a greatest movie. Becos Jet li and Jackie Chan. It is very disappointing. The jokes made my JC aint funny. His acting is very poor. Like doing his job. Not seriously. JL is alright. The American guy well not so good either. The girl who play the bride with white hair which made famous by Brigette Lin is pretty. Her acting not back. The sparrow girl is good also. Resembrance of Zhang Ziyi.

The action part is good. Too much WIRE work.
