Milady is back and determined to make the Musketeers - Athos, Porthos, Aramis and d'Artagnan - pay for foiling her plot to discredit the Queen of France (re: The Three Musketeers) Milady will stop at nothing to wreak her revenge, even if it means seducing the hateful d'Artagnan. Before meeting out her due punishment, the heroes will have to battle a siege, cross swords - innumerable times, and thwart as many plots and counter-plots as the infamous Cardinal Richelieu, and the perfidious Milady can hatch. The four swordsmen must race against time across early seventeenth century Europe to save the Queen's honor and the life of the lovely Constance. While remaining true to the romance of the cape and rapier period, Richard Lester continues to apply the genius of his comic style to the Dumas classic.
