失業已久的張勁強，又正值妻子身懷六甲，徬徨間看見招聘護衛員的廣告，便往一試，豈料一說即合，意外地找到了工作。勁強被派往一間商業大廈當夜班護衛員，但此後怪事便不斷發生，先有同事吃宵夜哽死，後有同事被報紙纏口窒息而死。就在這時，「風水先生」丹陽警告勁強，禍事將降臨他身上。
而這期間，勁強亦覺得妻子變得越來越詭秘，經常搗亂丹陽給他的趨吉避凶指示……此片把傳統鬼故事灌以嶄新拍攝手法，情景極度真實，佈局嚴緊，氣氛恐怖緊張，是難得一見的出色驚懼片。
Keung has a pregnant wife but he has been unemployed for a long period. One day he has a new job as a security guard in a commercial building. But strange incidents start happening and his colleagues die in horrible ways one by one. A geomancer tells Keung that he will be the next victim and teaches him how to avoid the fate. But Keung begins to discover his wife's strange behaviors...
The movies mix the traditional ghost story with new cinematic techniques, which makes it a most realistic and breath-taking thriller at its time.

Probably the best and enjoyable horror from HK

This is the definite HK horror, can hardly remember any better ones. If you don't like it, then stick to Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, Omen & Shining. Only this 4 are better. The info is horrible. Nyoh Wah don't deserve a mention here, the star is Charlie Chin Hsiang Lin !! |

Not bad for a really old movie
| I wouldn't call it scary, but there are some moments that can be considered creepy since it has to do with spirits and that sort of thing. The way the movie looks and its mood reminds me of old classic horror movies like The Omen and Rosemary's Baby. Not bad for a really old movie...I would recommend seeing it... |
