天地初開，大魔神(秦沛)被玉皇大帝逐出宇宙，懷恨在心，遂收買天宮瑤池仙子(楊盼盼)，大舉進攻天庭。眾仙不敵，危急之際，華山聖母(汪明荃)以天地間至高無上的寶物寶蓮燈大敗群魔，力挽狂瀾。
寶蓮燈漸趨熄滅，聖母遂閉關重煉寶蓮燈。大魔神為殲滅聖母，派遣瑤池返回五百年前，消滅聖母的前身?花仙子(汪明荃分飾)。?花原為劇團團員，與兄楊戩(盧海鵬)相依為命，後遇上癡情書生劉彥昌(任達華)並相戀，因此放棄了修煉成仙的機會。
大魔神最終親自下凡，用魔法將?花壓於華山之下。聖母知道自己前身遭遇危險，派遣華山童子化為?花之子沉香下凡解救。沉香得仙人指引，上華山尋得仙斧劈山救母......

I remember watching this series as a kid and was totally obsessed with it. Now, more than 15 years later, I found and purchased it online. If you're an old school chinese folklore fan like me, I definitely recommended the Lamp Lore. Sure brings back the good ol' childhood memories of this show. |
